Derek Cole, who's been helping out for 22 years, fixes a broken throttle cable on Brody's go-kart as part of his Christmas present. The day includes a meeting at the Pioneers and talk about the sacrifices Derek makes and why he believes his work will pay off.
22 years. 22 years, and I'm the favorite helper. 3 months. The greatest 3 months he's ever had. Hey guys, Derek Cole here. The main problem we see any season is dirt.
People going to keep on talking about me. They don't understand the work that I do when they're not around me. They don't understand the life I chose, the nights alone, the highs and lows.
They keep— this right here is the This is the problem. This is the problem.
It's not defrosting. Blessed now, but really they've been thinking that they'll lose it all and wake up feeling stressed out. Now everybody spending weekends getting drunk in clubs. I'm busy working while they finding temporary love. I made the sacrifices praying that it's worth it, but I know it's gonna work and I'ma get what I deserve until I'm gone.
What's up guys, uh, you saw me this morning hit the Pioneers for my meeting, uh, back in the office and The sun came up for a little while, but it's not raining anymore, so that's good. Um, we did get the cable for Brody's go-kart. We broke the, uh, throttle cable. Well, we didn't break it, I was on it and it broke. Um, so we should get that installed pretty soon, get it back to Brody. He'll be happy about that. This was, uh part of his Christmas present, which was used go-kart. Look at that pollen. See who's back here. Door's locked. What's up? What you working on? That looks dangerous. Always wearing protective gear. I finally got the, uh, throttle cable in for the, uh, go-kart, so put that on. We done? Do what? You rode it yet? Yeah, I'm the one that broke the cable. Yeah, how fast? I don't know, what do you think? I imagine at least, at least 35. Yeah, yeah, Skip was on it doing, uh, doing some tricks in the dirt and then it broke. So I don't know if it was me or if it was him. So Shaw has his helper Harold, but, but who's been your favorite helper? You was, Eman. That's right. How long you been here? 22 years. 22 years, and I'm the favorite helper. 3 months. The greatest 3 months he's ever had.
They don't understand.
