Short Descript tutorial demonstrating how to apply and adjust a Film Grain effect to a video layer: select the video layer, open the Layer panel, add the Film Grain effect from Effects (+), change its intensity (0 to 100), and remove it using the minus sign. The video is a single-speaker walkthrough and references other Descript tutorials.
To add a film grain to your Descript project, first select the video that you want to add it to, the video layer. Click on it. Come over to this button that says Layer on the right side. Click on that to pop it open. Down in the section that says Effects, click the plus button. And right here where it says Film Grain, click on that and you can see it applied that filmy look to my video. I can click on this effect, dial under back again under Effects, and when I open it up, I can change the intensity. So look at that. There's all the way to 100 and there's a zero where it's back to normal. And you can remove this effect by clicking on this minus sign. And now it's gone. If you want to go deeper on descript, check out any one of our other 200 videos. I recommend watching this one next.
