Check Out Youtube's New Thumbnail Testing Feature

YouTube just rolled out a feature where you can A B test thumbnails, meaning that you can upload up to three thumbnails and YouTube will cycle through them and it'll test them all out to see which one performs the best, which one gets the most clicks, and to do it inside of your YouTube studio, where your thumbnail is. If you click on Options, you can click on Test and Compare, and it opens up a window where you can upload three different thumbnails, and you just drag and drop your images into each of the plus boxes there. And when you first upload it, it's going to say ineligible. So here's a video that I just uploaded, and I just started this thumbnail test, and it says test in the top left there. And it's ineligible because I just posted it. Within a couple hours, that test will start running. And when it's actually running, it'll look like this. So you got the three different thumbnails and it says running, and it says. And then you can click on the three dots and say, view test report. And that'll show you the performance of that thumbnail test so far. And the thumbnail tests all run for 14 weeks, or, sorry, 14 days, two weeks. And then at the end of that, you can see which one performed the best and then set that as your thumbnail permanently.
