Descript Course

Learn Descript, the transcript-based editor that works differently from timeline tools. The course has over 100 short lessons under 10 minutes, updates whenever Descript releases new features, and an FAQ to answer what you'll hit along the way.
Video and podcast editing is getting disrupted in a major way right now by a software called descript. Descript uses artificial intelligence to make a lot of the tedious and time consuming tasks as easy as clicking a button. The problem is descript is fundamentally different than traditional editing software. Unlike legacy video editors that are timeline based, descript is transcript based. This makes it really good for editing podcasts and talking head videos, but it also means that there is a steep learning curve to learn an entirely new set of vocabulary, learn where the different tools are, and how to set up your workflows in the most efficient way possible. Enter descript Mastery I didn't set out to create this course. I started as a video editor and and YouTube consultant. But what started happening is more and more clients started asking me how to learn descript themselves. And as a teacher at heart, I was happy to offer that service. And after one or two lessons, most students didn't even need me anymore. They were able to do everything on their own. So I created this course as the DIY option for clients who don't want to book tutoring calls with me. You can buy this course and get and go through it on your own time. I recommend you pick a project and go through the course as needed. You can skip parts you already know and rewatch parts that you're stuck on over and over until you feel comfortable with that skill. The key to mastery of anything is repetition, and this course only works if you implement what you're learning. As for the contents of the course, There are over 100 video lessons at the time of this recording. I cover everything from how to create a new project all the way through to publishing your project, and even how Descript integrates with other tools like Zapier and Canva. Each lesson is a walkthrough of a particular skill. There is zero fluff, zero tangents, and each video is hyper focused on showing you the skill in question. And no video is longer than 10 minutes. One of the biggest frustrations that users have when with Descript is that it updates all the time. You get used to a certain user interface or hotkey and then suddenly it changes on you. So one of the things that I do with this course is I create a new video every single time that descript updates so that you can stay current on the latest changes. Additionally, as I work with more and more students every single day, I am building out a Frequently Asked Questions section based on things that come up a lot. If you know you need to be using Descript, maybe someone told you about it, but you just haven't made the jump yet. Or maybe you've tried it out but got frustrated and quit. This course is for you. This is what you've been looking for to get over that hurdle and start cranking out content faster and better than ever before. You've already made the decision that you want to learn this software, so go ahead, click the Learn Descript button and let's get started.
