Ross Zeiger shows how to move videos, photos, or audio between Descript projects. Each project is isolated, so you need to manually import assets. Open your destination project, click the plus button, select Add from Other projects, pick your file, and it's ready to use.
In Descript, every single project is a separate entity. So anything you do in Project A doesn't transfer over to Project B. However, what if there's a video or a photo that you were using in Project A that you want to use in Project B? Well, there's now a brand new feature that allows you to do that with just a couple clicks. So join me in Descript and I'll show you how to do it. So over here on the left side of the screen is the project that you're watching right now. This is the video I'm currently recording into. Over on the right side is another project where I have my logo reveal MP4 video. So it's this little preview that you just saw right before I started showing you Descript. And what needs to happen is I want to take it from this project called Oct Videos, October Videos. And I want to move it into Nov videos, November videos. So I'm going to come up to the project files in the destination project. I'm going to click on the plus button. It says add from, and I'm going to select the one that says other projects. So we're going to be bringing in the video from our other project. Click on that. And you could sort through all of your projects by name right there with that bar. You can go through your recently imported ones or There it is because I recently opened it, Aux Videos. I'm gonna click on that. Now it's gonna show me all of the videos, images, and audio files inside of this project. So I'm gonna scroll down until I find the one. There it is, Black Logo SFX. I'm gonna click import. It says importing to project and Black Logo SFX MP4 successfully imported. So now, It's here, right there inside of my project. And I can use it just like any other media source inside of this project. Now your photos and videos are in the right project, but what do you do with them? You need to edit them.
