Editing and Resizing Captions in CapCut - Lesson 7

Learn two ways to edit captions in CapCut: select them on the timeline or use the Captions panel. Split long captions with the plus button, then reposition and resize layers so they don't overlap.
Now, if I want to edit these captions. So first of all, click on the caption you want to edit. Click on it on the timeline down here. And then under text and Basic, you'll see this view where you can change it here. But the easier way to change the entire video, to make a lot of changes quickly, is to come to the one next to it that says captions. And this is where you can see each line. And if I click on one of these, it takes me to select that portion of the caption layer. So let's go to this one. That's number four. And let's say I want to put this. I want to split this up because it's a pretty long caption. So what I can do is click on this plus button right here, and that adds a blank new caption layer below it. And then I can come up to that first one. I could cut half of this, for example. And now it's gone from that first section. I come into my newly created one, paste it in there. And now I have two shorter captions instead of one really long one. And then what I'll need to do is you can see that this caption layer is going to be covering up the one below it. So I'm only able to see the one that says pauses, so I can cut these out. So what I need to do is change the positioning of these a little bit. I need to shorten this bottom one. And then I need to take this top one and drag it right here so now that they're not going to overlap. And let me just resize it until it pops down like so. And now let's play it. And it should like that. So what you can do is go through your captions, make sure they look how you want, and if they don't, and if there's any spelling mistakes, things like that, then select it. Make the change here so you get it looking how you want. And when you're ready, I'll meet you in lesson eight, which you can get to conveniently by clicking on this video here.
