To upload a short to YouTube, the process is the same as uploading a normal long video. The thing is, when you upload a short, it has to meet two requirements. It has to be 60 seconds or less and it has to be in portrait mode, meaning it has to be a 9 by 16 ratio, the ratio of a normal phone screen. And when those two requirements are met, YouTube will automatically recognize it as a short and it'll automatically convert it into a short. So then you go to create upload videos, select file, or you can drag and drop a file, find your short video, and you can see this one is in portrait mode. It's got that it's taller than it is long, it's nine by 16, and it is less than one minute. So I'll hit open and then it adds it to YouTube. And at first it's going to show up as a normal video, this video link, but in a second it's going to recognize it as a short and this video link will change. I'll show you what I mean. So as soon as it's done processing, it automatically recognizes it as a short. So it says YouTube.com shorts and then a couple things will be different. When you're uploading a short, for example, you can't set a thumbnail. And then there's some differences to how it'll show up. Like you can add a related video, which you can't do with long forms, but you cannot add end screens or cards. And then from there everything's pretty much the same as far as setting privacy settings, whether this is going to be private, unlisted, public, et cetera. And you hit save. And that short is now published.
