This is a YouTube video titled "Importing Files into Your Project" created on July 26, 2023. The content is a tutorial-style presentation explaining how to add various media files such as video, images, and audio into a project using a software tool, including details on transcription and language settings. The excerpt features a single speaker providing step-by-step instructions.
So once we have our new project set up how we want, we're going to start adding files to it. We can add video, we can add pictures, we can add sound. Anything you want to put into your video can be done here. Now, the first and easiest way is to drag a video in. I have a video that I just dragged in from my desktop and all I do is drop it on the timeline. It'll prompt me for the language I want. Descript supports a lot of different languages. There's over 20 here. Obviously I am using English. You can say always prompt for transcription language or you can turn that off. If you're editing in a lot of different languages and you want it to ask you every single time, and you just hit the transcript transcribe button, it'll ask you who the speaker is. If you've trained Descript AI on a certain speaker's voice, you can select that there, or in this case I can just tell it, it's walker and I hit done. And if there's multiple speakers, you can select that here. If you have multiple different audio tracks and it'll take a minute to transcribe it, it's a 10 minute file. And there we go. It's transcribed the entire file. So that's one way is the drag and drop method. The other way is this right here. This little play button is your media bin. So when you click that drops down this menu here. If you hit the add files button, then you can scroll through, you can browse through your computer just like you would with any other program. And again, you can select video, images, audio, whatever you want to add to your video, you can do that. So let's just add an image and it's now in our media bin and if we click on that again, it'll add it to our video. So that is it with adding files.
