Your Boring Business is a Media Company (here's why!)

A crime-scene cleaning franchise has 1.36M YouTube subscribers. A plumbing channel's video on making $750 with a screwdriver got 5M views. Any business, no matter how unglamorous, can build a media company on YouTube and monetize through ads, sponsorships, and courses.
It doesn't matter how boring you might think your industry is, every company can be a media company. And here's a couple examples. This one that I have pulled up right now is a crime scene cleaning company and they've amassed 1.36 million subscribers. And obviously crime scene cleaning is more interesting than most professions. People love to see true crime and you know, violence, things like that. So it does have that element to it. But if you're in this industry, this is a play that you could do. So they document their crime scene cleanups and they do some how to videos, they do some entertaining type of stuff. And the play with this is, this is actually a franchise. I actually know the. I've. I've interacted with the owner of this company and she sells franchises. So people find this anywhere in the country, they want to open one of these Spalding decon locations and, and they can do so by becoming a franchisee. Pretty interesting play there. This next one I actually showed in my video yesterday is called Girl with the Dogs. She's got almost 3 million subscribers and she just shows videos of her grooming different animals. And she doesn't charge the people anything. She just, she does the grooming for free. But her play is that she gets the ad revenue, she gets sponsorships, she'll get do affiliates with, you know, a certain type, certain brand of grooming brush or a certain type of clippers, that type of thing. And that's how she makes her living. So she grooms the dogs for free in exchange for different types of advertising. The next is a channel called Worship Ministry Training. And this is a guy named Alex. And what he does is he trains churches and worship teams on how to be better, how to get the most out of their instruments, how to. Out of their technology. And it's. He's got a subscription service as well as some courses. It's just a worship leader who turned it into a digital product. Next is a plumbing company. So again, back to just doesn't matter how boring you may think your industry is, you can make videos like this. Here's how to make $750 with a screwdriver. That hook right there. Here's how to make $750 with a screwdriver. Like how many views does this have? Probably a ton. Almost 5 million views. And that was only a couple months old. So it's incredible what you can do with a quote unquote boring industry. Taken to YouTube. This guy's a truck driver. Six, almost six and a half thousand subscribers. So he's probably got affiliate deals. He's got YouTube ad revenue. He's got all sorts of different ways to that he's been able to make money on top of just driving trucks. And then this last one, a garbage man. 10,000 subscribers, not a ton, but probably getting a bit of ad revenue every single month just documenting what he does. So hopefully this gives you some ideas. No matter your industry, you are a media company in the year 2024, so treat it as.
