Growth is Painful… But Staying the Same is Worse

In this motivational talk, cash‑flow coach Dipak Bhadra argues that the four hours between 5 PM and 9 PM are the decisive factor that shapes the results of the next day’s 9‑to‑5 work. He illustrates the point by referencing universally successful figures (Elon Musk, Bill Gates, etc.) and explains that while everyone has the same 24 hours, the post‑work period is where true growth occurs. Bhadra contrasts the "comfort of suffering"—the easy, short‑term gratification of TV, scrolling, and unhealthy habits—with the "pain of growth," a disciplined routine that invests in mental, emotional, physical, and financial well‑being. He presents a four‑wheel model of well‑being, outlines a practical evening schedule (learning during the commute, reading, exercise, family time, and financial planning), and stresses the importance of purpose, core values, and a burning desire. Time‑management is framed as a myth; prioritization and alignment with one’s purpose drive lasting change. The talk concludes with a call‑to‑action to book a discovery call for personalized coaching.

What you do from 5 PM to 9 PM every day in your life will decide the results you get of what you do from 9 AM to 5 PM. What do I mean by that? I mean by that is you may be entrepreneur, business owner, working professional, and working from 9 to 5, which is daytime, which is on weekdays. And then getting some results. Now either you are not happy with those results or you want to improve those results exponentially. Pay very close attention to this information which I am going to share in the video. My name is Dipak Bhadra. I am Cash Flow Clarity Coach and I am author of these two books, Grow Your Money Tree and Alignment Code for Entrepreneurs. What do I mean by 5 to 9? Normally people finish their work at 5 PM and they go home and do something. Now that something from 5 to 9 PM will decide or determine your results which you get next day. Now people work hard during weekdays or even weekends also. Now there are no boundaries, there is no boundary of week— weekday or weekend or work hours and off hours. Unfortunately or fortunately, both are having pros and cons. But what you do from 5 PM to 9 PM. And I would like to explain by some pictures because our mind understands pictures better. And this is my own story. I have used something, I did something, I use my 5 PM to 9 PM initially unconsciously and then consciously, which made my results possible. I am financially free, I am inspiring other people to be the same or even better. And you can do by using those 4 hours. And let me share my screen, which is this. You can see some famous personalities here: Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Narendra Modi, Oprah Winfrey, Narayan Murthy, Sundar Pichai, Richard Branson. These are the people we know. There may be many more people who are successful in their own areas of their life. Now, do you know that there is one thing common between them and me and you and all of us? We all have the same time in a day, 24 hours. There is not a 1 minute extra or 1 minute less. Now it is what we do with that time, and particularly what you do after your work hours. So one of my mentors, I never met him, Jim Rohn, he says it's not what you do during your work hours will make you— it will make you living, but what you do after your work hours will make you fortune. And that's what I'm going to talk about in this this video. And you can see this person, we have no argument that they are most successful people, on living people in the planet. Now what if I say that you also can do something, but not overnight? So if in the middle, if you see, there is a frame which is you or me, and with the same time. Now what you do with the time is what is important. So what is my next picture is, so most people what they do after work hours They are tired, they are doing firefighting. Maybe you are a business owner or working professional. This is what general life is. They come home tired after 1 hour traffic, 1.5 hour traffic, or maybe travel in the metro, which is Dubai traffic is very high. They reward themselves sitting in front, in front of TV or Netflix or social media or YouTube or scrolling internet and having dinner, maybe unhealthy food. And then go to bed. This is the lifestyle of, say, maybe more than 75% of people in the world. And what they get? They don't get the results they want. They are always having financial worries. They are not having good, healthy lifestyle. Therefore, they find themselves alone and in the rat race. Now, this is the one side. Now, I don't want you to focus on this, but what this brings Those 5 to 9 PM, maybe people who are driving in the car, they are listening music. There is nothing wrong in it, but you have a better opportunity which I will share in my next picture. When they reach home, they can take good care of their physical health and well-being, spend time with family instead of spending time on social media, prepare for your next day, work out your financials. Now the picture what you see, the people who follows this they opt for comfort of suffering, and comfort of suffering gives temporary benefits. It gives instant gratification, but in long term, it is not helpful on your big goals. So what some people, they do, or what you can do, you can opt for pain of growth. So what I always insist, or what I did in my work time when I was in the job, investing time in yourself. Now people say, okay, it takes 1 hour if you are living in Sharjah. Maybe 1.5 hours traffic time, you reach home, you are tired. Now you know that mental stress is in the mind. You need to invest in your mental well-being. You can use car as a, you can say, mobile university. That's what I do. I listen audio programs, audiobooks in my car. Now I don't say that you will gain all the knowledge because you have to focus on the road, but something repeatedly going in your mind through your senses will bring benefit. And when you reach home, you can have some reading, you can watch some learning programs, you can be part of some community, have some healthy food which you can see. Give 1 hour on your physical well-being, 1 hour you're on your emotional well-being, relationship. Spend time with your family, loved ones. Do something which you are really loving to do, hobby. Plan your finances every day, maybe half an hour. Financial future. Because whole day you work for maybe 9, 8, 9, 10 hours. Do you agree that you work for money? You want to give better lifestyle to yourself and your family, but are you taking managing good— I mean, your money well, or you are spending? So these are the learning which you can do. Now initially it is a pain of growth because it will, it will take comfort out of your life, any temporary but then permanently it will bring growth. It will make a better version of yourself. Now this is what you do during your 5 PM to 9 PM. Look at this, it's not like— see, many people says that manage your time well. What if I say that time management is a myth? We all have 24 hours. It is how well you manage or prioritize your activity. What is important in your life? What is driving you? It's not you write New Year goal and New Year resolution. That may be a starting point, but are you emotionally involved with this? How badly you want this? If you just have a wish or hope or interest of being financially free or having your own growth or business, wish, hope, or interest will not bring any change unless it becomes a burning desire, unless you make this as your purpose. Now, your purpose needs a core value. If you want to be driven by your purpose, your mission, your vision, you need to have some core values. My core values are freedom, fulfillment, and flow. I want to have freedom. Let it be time freedom, let it be financial freedom, which I already achieved. I want to feel fulfilled when I go to bed in the night. I want to have a fulfillment that yes, I inspired some people, I made some people Think about the life they can align and design. We all have same potential, we all have same time. So why some people are successful and most of people are struggling? That's what you can do. Invest in yourself. Invest that time, 5 PM to 9 PM, in your learning journey, and you will see the change. Now, this will be painful, but it will bring a growth. And before I close this, I will share the last picture, which is 4 areas of life. And I always use example of a car. There are 4 wheels. If one of the wheel is not aligned, what happens? You don't keep driving the car. You go to a tire shop and get it fixed. In the life, mental well-being, emotional well-being, physical well-being, financial well-being. And these 4 hours, 5 to 9, start assigning maybe half an hour to start with in each area. Mental well-being, you can read book, You can attend some trainings, you can be part of some coaching programs. That's what I do. I help people. I have many mentors. Emotional well-being— spend time with yourself, have some meditation, spend time with your family, feel good. Physical well-being— take good care of your body by good sleep, good food, a good exercise sometime. And then financial well-being. Every— all these hours you spend to make your financial future better, are you managing your money? Or you are having spending habits, the money comes, money goes. Learn this. If you may not be knowing today, but it doesn't mean you can't do it. Work on this and then you will see the change in your life. And why I'm telling you? Because I did this. I followed these principles. I have still have many mentors. I'm learning every day and that has made me a better version of myself. They brought freedom to me. If I can do it, you can do Hope this was helpful to you. If you want to know more, book a discovery call with me. I can help you. Thank you and take good care of yourself.
