Hey there everybody. Today we're going to talk about anger and poop. Now that I have your attention, imagine you're sitting on the couch and all of a sudden you start smelling poop. Well, like anybody, you'd probably start feeling angry. That's your body dumping stress chemicals to give you energy to respond to a possible threat. So what's the best use of your energy from here? Use that energy to just sit on the couch and stew about how that stupid dog probably pooped on floor again, to start screaming at the dog before you know whether he actually pooped on the floor or not. Or is the best use of your energy to use it to get up to figure out if there actually is a problem, if there's a threat in this context at this time, and then take steps to address the issue? The same thing is true with just about any stressor in.
