Hey there everybody and welcome to this presentation on the Science of Happiness Masterclass.
I'm your host, Dr. Donnellice Snipes.
This series, the Science of Happiness Masterclass will provide a science based approach to helping you improve your mood, energy and.
Relationships and reduce pain and inflammation as you strengthen your mind and body.
Now, a lot of times I'll do videos that are kind of one offs, but this is going to be a series so I wanted to let you know kind of what to expect and.
What to continue to look for in the upcoming weeks.
Part one, we're going to talk about meditation, relaxation and the vagus nerve. In Part two, we're going to explore the anti inflammatory diet and how that can help us improve our mood, our.
Thinking, our energy and our relationships.
Part three, how to get better sleep. You know, I talk all the time.
About why sleep is important, so we're going to explore that in depth.
Part four, Circadian rhythms, Sex, hunger, immunity, sleep and mood.
You notice I started out with something besides sleep because circadian rhythms.
Are involved.
In just about everything we do, not just sleep.
Part five, Increase motivation and dopamine by developing your vision. Part six Hack your neurotransmitters with mindful awareness. Part seven, Take control of your stress.
Response or that nasty old HPA axis through distress tolerance and emotion regulation. Part 8 will explore the neurological basis of emotional intelligence.
There are actually parts of the brain.
That have to be developed in order to have emotional intelligence. And when we use EI strategies, we strengthen those areas of the brain.
Part 9 Problem solving and goal setting. Part 10 Cognitive restructuring, viewing challenges and choice. Part 11 Creating safety in the environment.
Relationships and your own head.
Part 12 Aromatherapy, terpenes and nature.
What can we learn?
Part 13, the impact of color on.
Mood and psychological functioning.
And I found a really surprising to.
Me amount of research that looked at the impact of different color spectrums on.
Mood and cognition and even recovery times.
In people who are in the hospital.
Part 14 why do they do that? Understanding temperament.
Part 15, Listening in order to reduce stress.
Part 16 Overcoming fear of assertiveness. A lot of people want to be assertive. They think about being assertive, but they're afraid to do it.
So we're going to talk about overcoming that fear. Part 17 Mastering the Art of negotiation even during conflict.
And finally, part 18, increasing oxytocin to.
Improve energy, inflammation, relationships and motivation.
Remember, oxytocin is your bonding chemical, but.
It can also increase dopamine levels and reduce stress, which reduces inflammation and helps you have more energy to invest in your relationships.
So there's a lot of stuff that.
We'Re going to talk about in this masterclass, and I look forward to seeing you in each and every video.
