Most agencies, most businesses never scale past the founder 'cause the founder is the product. I think this is a really key issue because most founders find it very difficult to delegate. If you imagine you've got like a force or a storm, they're the eye of the storm, aren't they? And they try to keep control of everything that happens around them. And I think that can be a real danger. I think actually the founders that I know that have been most successful are the ones that basically start that energy moving and then as quickly as possible, splinter off and have mini storms going on in other people and find good people to facilitate their weaknesses or their gaps as quickly as possible. I actually think the founder's job really more than anything else in the first few years is to make themselves as much as they can redundant and focus on the areas that they actually can add the most value. But 99% of the time founders don't do that.
