Don't make promises you can't control. There's a very fine line between inspiring and setting a vision as a leader and making promises you can't keep. Yeah. Good examples are like, you know, when you hire somebody into a role, you could believe in your heart of heart that they are gonna become this, you know, maybe it's like the lead designer or the lead engineer, or they're gonna run the business one day. And like, you can't really control that. So be careful making that promise. So be careful saying to them, this is your path and this is where you're gonna be. I think what I learned over the years is that resentment can really grow in individuals because understandably you've made promises to them about things that you want them to achieve. And if they're not quite achieving what you need them to, they feel like they've been promised something. It can cause resentment. And resentment in team members is like the most difficult thing to ever overcome.
