As you grow and change, old friendships shift. You might lose the depth of conversation with people from high school or college who aren't evolving at the same pace. Protecting your ideas during growth means being selective about who you have deeper discussions with.

When you start to evolve, you will notice that the people around you, you may not see eye to eye, right? I still have friends that I went to high school and college with. We're still cool. Listen, exactly. They're not going to hang with me, right? They're not going to be able to get into the PJ with Bilal and I, right? And so, you know, I think that it's okay, right? It's okay. It's not something that, you know, it feels a little awkward at first because you can't have conversations. You can't have big conversations with small-minded people, and that will also keep you stagnant. And so you have to just realize, like, okay, I can kick it with them, we can laugh and kiki about the past, but I can't talk to them about the things that, you know, I'm talking maybe to Bilal about, or I'm talking to other people about who maybe are at different levels in their life. And it doesn't make them, me, better or whatever. You just have to understand that you have to protect your ideas and protect your mindset. And, you know, it just comes with evolving. Not everyone's going to evolve.
