How to Escape the Money Mindset Trap: The 5-Step Framework

In this solo coaching video, the speaker expands on a previously introduced concept that intelligent people often stay financially stuck because of subconscious money programming. He presents a concrete five‑step framework—Identity, Beliefs, Language, Visualization, and Action—that he claims has helped over 600,000 students. Each step is explained with a brief psychological rationale, a specific daily or weekly exercise, and a clear instruction to move from current self‑limiting patterns to a wealthy self‑identity. The speaker emphasizes that wealth must be built from the inside out, starting with mindset before any external strategy. He provides concrete assignments: write current vs. desired money identity, a 7‑day belief‑catching and flipping practice, replace poverty‑related phrases with abundance‑focused language, a 5‑minute daily visualization of a detailed wealthy life for 30 days, and finally, take a certainty‑driven action that the viewer already knows they should take. The video concludes with a recap of the framework and a call‑to‑action for a paid 90‑minute live money‑mindset workshop on January 6th, priced at $27, promising a workbook, live Q&A, and community support. The overall tone is instructional, motivational, and sales‑oriented, with frequent references to neuroscience and the idea that reprogramming the subconscious creates real financial change.

In the last video, I told you why smart people stay broke. Now I'm going to show you exactly how to fix it. This is the same 5-step framework that I've used with over 600,000 students, and whether you are, uh, starting with $8 or $8 million, let's dive in. Okay, quick recap. So if you're just joining, your bank account is not a reflection of your intelligence or work ethic. It's a printout of your subconscious beliefs about money. And those beliefs, they were programmed into you before you even understood what money was. But here's the good news: what was programmed can be reprogrammed, and I'm about to show you exactly how to do that. So this isn't, uh, think positive thoughts and manifest a billion dollars BS. No, this is the actual psychology and practical steps that create real change. So grab something to take Notes with. It's my book of choice. All right, and let's— because this is going to get really, uh, tactical. All right, so the framework. The framework that I'm about to give you has 5 steps, okay? And they work in a specific order for a specific reason. Most people try to jump straight to step 5— I get it— but let's not do that, okay? Which is action. And then wonder why nothing sticks. But wealth is built from the inside out. Not outside in. So we're starting at the foundation and we're going to build up. All right, so here we go. Step 1: identity. Okay, this is who you believe you are when it comes to money. And right now, if I asked you, are you wealthy, what would you say? Most people would laugh and be like, girl, no, Okay, obviously not. Look at my bank account. But that's the problem. You're using your current circumstances to define your identity. Okay, now wealthy people do the opposite. They claim the identity first and then the circumstances follow. So here's what I need you to understand. You will never consistently do anything that contradicts who you believe you are. So if you believe, I'm just not good with money, then every strategy I give you will fail. Not because the strategy is bad, but because you can't be good with money and also be someone who's not good with money. Your brain won't allow the contradiction. It just won't allow it, right? So here's your first assignment. Number 1, write down who you currently believe you are with money. Be honest, no judgment. I'm bad with money. I'm someone who struggles financially. I'm not the type who gets rich. Okay. Write it down. Write those thoughts down. Number 2, write down who you want to be. I am a wealth builder. I am someone who money flows easily to. I am financially abundant. And number 3, this is the most important part. Start acting as if the second identity is already true. Not fake it till you make it. Become it right now. Okay? Because here's the secret. You don't become wealthy and then think like a wealthy person. You think like a wealthy person and then you become wealthy. Identity always comes first. Always. Okay? Step 2, beliefs. Now that you have claimed your new identity, we have to deal with all the old beliefs that contradict it. Okay, your subconscious is full of limiting beliefs about money. So full. Like, money is hard to make, rich people are greedy, I don't deserve to be wealthy, if I get money something bad's gonna happen. Like, those and these beliefs are running in the background like apps on your phone draining your battery without you even realizing it. Okay, so here's what you need to do for the next 7 days. Next 7 days, I want you to catch yourself every time you think or say something negative about money. Every time you say, I can't afford it, catch it. Every time you think, uh, I'll never get ahead, catch it. Every time you feel jealous of someone else's success, okay, catch it and then flip it. I can't afford it becomes, how can I afford this? Uh, I'll never get ahead becomes, I am building wealth every single day. They're so lucky becomes, if, if they can do it, so can I. You're not just being positive, you're actively interrupting old neural pathways and creating new ones. This is neuroscience. This is how you actually reprogram your brain. It feels super weird at first, But that's good. That means that it is actually working. Okay, step 3: language. Language. Your words are spells, okay? Literally, that's why it's called spelling. Every word you speak is a command to your subconscious mind and a declaration to the universe about what you're creating. So if you're constantly saying, I'm broke, I'm drowning in debt, money always slips through my fingers, I never have enough, you are casting spells for poverty. Stop it. From this moment forward, you are only speaking abundance. Remove these phrases from your vocabulary completely: I'm broke, I can't afford it, money is tight, I'm bad with money, I'll never be rich. Remove those. Replace them with: I am building wealth. Uh, how can I create this? Money flows easily to me. I am mastering money. Okay, wealth is my natural state. I had I had a student who was drowning in debt, right? Six figures of student loans, could barely make rent, all the things. She came to me and said, Dominique, Dominique, girl, I am so broke. I am never going to get out of this. And I stopped her. I said, no, no, no, no, no, no, say it again, but this time tell me the truth, okay? She looked confused. I said, you're not broke. You're in debt, yes, but you have a job. You have skills, you have time, you're not broke, you're building. So she rewrote her entire money story through language. Through language. Within 18 months, she paid off $45,000 in debt. Not because I gave her some magical strategy. No, because she stopped casting spells for, for poverty and started declaring abundance. Words matter. Use them wisely. Okay. Step 4: visualization. I can never say that word. Visualization. Your brain can't tell the difference between something vividly imagined and something actually experienced. This isn't woo-woo, this is neuroscience. This is why athletes visualize winning before they compete. This is why actors rehearse scenes. This is why surgeons practice procedures mentally. Visualization creates neural pathways that make the actual action feel familiar instead of foreign. So here's what you're going to do every single morning before you check your phone, before you start your day, okay? Spend 5 minutes visualizing your wealthy life. And I don't mean vague fantasies, I mean specific details. Get detailed, paint the picture, right? What does your bank account say? How does it, uh, feel to check your balance and see abundance? What are you wearing? Where are you living? What does your morning routine look Like, um, when money is no longer a stress, who's sitting beside you? How do you move through the world differently? Who are you helping with your wealth? See it. Okay. Feel it. But I need you to believe it. Not as something in the future, as something that already exists and you are stepping into it and it's waiting for you. So do this every day for 30 days and watch what happens. Watch, your brain will start looking for opportunities that match the vision. Instead of evidence that confirms your current reality, that's when the magic happens. That's when luck finds you. That's when doors open because they were always open. You just couldn't see them before. You couldn't see it. Step 5, action. Action. Now and only now, after you've done steps 1 through 4, you take action. But here's the difference, okay? You're not taking action from fear, desperation, or scarcity. You're taking certain— you're taking action, I'm sorry, from certainty. You're not trying to build wealth. You're not hoping it works out. You are claiming what's already yours. So what's the first action that you take? The one you already know you should be doing, but you've been avoiding. Okay, is it opening that investment account? Is it having the money conversation with your partner? Is it hiring the financial advisor? Is it starting the side business? Is it asking for the raise? You already know what it is, you know, right now that you've reprogrammed your identity, beliefs, language, and vision, you have the foundation to actually follow through, not from a place of I should, from a place of this is who I am. This is what I do. Wealthy people don't hope, y'all. They don't wish. They don't try. They decide, and then they act on the decision with absolute certainty. And that's what you're doing now. You're not becoming someone new. You're becoming who you have always been underneath all of this programming. You're just clearing away the BS that has been blocking you and standing in your way. So let's recap the framework. Number 1, identity. Decide who you are with money. Number 2, beliefs. Catch and flip limiting beliefs every day. Okay. Number 3, language. Speak only abundance. That's it. Number 4, visualization. See and feel your wealthy life every morning. Number 5 is action. Take the next step from certainty, not fear. 5 steps. Start today, not Monday, not next month, today, because every day you wait is another day that those old patterns are running your life. Now, if you want to go deeper, into this work, if you want me to walk you through this process in real time with a workbook, live Q&A, community of people doing the work alongside you, I'm hosting a money mindset workshop on January 6th, okay? And I— it's, it's 90 minutes and it's $27, and it might be the most important investment that you make in 2026, because strategy without mindset is literally useless. Okay, but mindset without strategy is just philosophy, and you need both. And I'm giving you both in this workshop, so I'll drop the link in the show notes. Okay, click it right now while you're thinking about it, because you know what happens when you tell yourself, I'll do it later, right? You don't. That's the old programming. That's the old you. Okay, the new you, the one who just claimed their wealthy identity, they take action immediately. Your wealth is waiting. Stop making it wait for you. See you in the workshop.
