Dr. Ashley Lucas and Dr. Cornish discuss weight loss drugs like Ozempic and why relying on them without building better habits means staying on medication for life. They cover the drugs' side effects and why sustainable weight loss requires changing how you actually eat and move.
A zempic shouldn't be used by everybody who is overweight or everybody who is looking to lose weight.
I'm Dr. Ashley and today we have a fascinating guest joining us. He is a man whose ideas are sparking conversations and controversy across the globe, especially in the world of nutrition, fitness and the fight against what some call the great reset. Welcome to the show, Dr. Cornish. Dale, you.
Take a weight loss drug, you're not actually cultivating good habits. These drugs we already know, and it's been admitted actually by the manufacturers, users are going to have to stay on them for life. There are all sorts of dreadful side effects as well, you know, that we hear about on a regular basis, chronic bowel obstruction. There was a story about a woman who was, who was told by her doctor that she would have diarrhea forever. I do think that these drugs have some benefit, like I say, for these extreme cases, but you know, I don't, I don't think that a 20 year old woman should be taking a zempic.
