Fibromylagia and Infections What You May Be Missing

Dr. Diane Mueller explains fibromyalgia as a lowered pain threshold caused by inflammation from infections like Lyme, Bartonella, and Babesia, plus toxins and stress. She argues that identifying and treating these underlying infections can improve symptoms, and urges patients to push for testing.

Hey everybody. Dr. Diane, here in this video, we're going to be talking about fibromyalgia, pain in general, but in particular fibromyalgia and its association with chronic hidden infection. So with fibromyalgia, one of the things that winds up happening is there's a change in our pain threshold. So normally we need, from a nervous system perspective, we need a certain amount of stimuli for our nerve to register for our brain, to send the signal to our brain that there's pain. So say I gently bump my hand on my desk, right? I gently bump on my hand on my desk. The threshold to say pain has not been reached. Therefore, the nerve does not send the signal to the body that says or to the brain that says pain, pain, pain, pain, pain problem, right? With fibro, what happens is that threshold, because of the nerves being so inflamed, that threshold changes. So I touch the desk, I butt my hand very lightly on the desk and. And because the nerves are just on that edge of sending signals, because that threshold change, the nerves are on that edge of sending the signal to the brain at any moment. So the slightest little stimuli, a bump on the table, a light, a sound, can send these crazy signals to the brain that says, there's a problem, I'm in pain. When really there's not a problem. But the brain interprets it like it is because of the signal signals that the nervous system is sending to it. So what we really need to do in working with something like fibromyalgia is we need to figure out what the heck is actually inflaming the brain and sending all these signals, right? So infections can do this. And so usually for people it's this threshold. It's a lot of things that accumulate so toxins and infections and stress and nutrient deficiencies, all these different things can create inflammation in the body and, and can change this neuronal threshold. But diseases such as HIV has been studied, Lyme disease have been studied. Other types of infections such as Bartonella, babesia, these other types of insect borne infections have been studied for essentially creating fibromyalgia in the body. So oftentimes people that are given a fibro diagnosis are told that there's nothing that really can be done because classically what's really done for fibro is, is a couple types of medications to try to eliminate symptoms. But there's this lack of awareness right now in the medical community that there are studies that are actually showing, oh, people with fibro have these types of infections and we treat these types of infections. Guess what? Fibro starts getting better. And I see this all the time. So just. If you are listening to this and you have fibro or any other types of pain, be an advocate for yourself. There's reasons for this. I hope this is helpful. Please subscribe to the channel. If it was. Let me know if you need any help. You can find information about my clinic below.
