Dr. Diane Mueller explains why Lyme and mold patients often fail to detox properly. Beyond glutathione and binders, they're missing nutrients that activate transport proteins to move toxins into bile. She starts with tudka, myrrh, and choline to open those pathways.

Hey, everybody. Dr. Diane here in this video, I'm going to answer the question of what is the top missing nutrient or supplement when it comes to Lyme and mold treatment, when we're working with chronic toxins and chronic infections? And this is a very tricky question to answer because it truly does depend. Right. But here's what I see most commonly. People come in to my clinic and they are doing a lot to make the liver work. They're doing things like glutathione and NAC and milk thistle, for example, and they're doing binding. They're going to bind the toxins. So maybe it's called styrene or activated charcoal or zeolite, glucomannan, or any of the other amazing binders out there. Right? So they're doing that. They're killing Lyme, they're killing Bartonella, they're killing Babesia, they're going after biofilms, all of these different things. So what are they missing? Well, here's the thing. When your liver breaks down toxins, the liver has to get toxins out. And to do that, to get the toxins out, it uses transport proteins. When these transport proteins actually are increased, that's what's making the toxins leave the liver. When the toxins leave the liver, they are with the bile, whether or not you have a gallbladder. This is true. When the toxins in the bile are connected, what winds up happening is they end up in the intestinal tract. When the toxins end up in the intestinal tract, that's when you want to bind them because you want to prevent those toxins from being reabsorbed. Right. That's super duper helpful. So you want to bind them in the intestinal tract to prevent the reabsorption. Right. And then eventually you wind up essentially eliminating the toxins in your stool. So what's going to be really, really important, what a lot of people are missing, is this one part about the toxins breaking down, which we're doing with things, again, like glutathione, nac, milk thistle. Right. You want to get the toxins transported out of the liver. Right. Because they don't transport out of the liver and the transport proteins aren't working. Winds up happening is they go back into systemic circulation. And when they do that, this leads to a lot of reactivity. And this is also one reason for things like mast cell activation syndrome. How do we get the toxins out? We get the toxins out with things like tudka, myrrh and choline. These are three nutrients that help those transport proteins turn on. So when the toxins, whether it's toxins from mold, from metals or other environmental toxins, or toxins that are from the killing of Lyme in the microorganisms, because when we kill things, they release their toxins, right? So no matter where the toxins come from, we need to get them out. And so these transport proteins and increasing the efficacy of the transport proteins with myrrh, with choline, with Taika, that's one of the key missing things that I see. In fact, so many people I wind up starting on those things right away in their treatment process. Not to like in completely increase detox, but really just to get the pathways open, to get the path open so that what's there can move so that then you're ready to detox later on. So I would say those are the top three missing supplements or nutrients that I don't see people thinking about from that aspect. Now remember, we can herx, we can have die off reactions from just about anything. So be careful when you're adding anything new and hope this is helpful. Please keep your questions coming.
