Can You Take Control Of Your Cancer Journey?

In this solo presentation Dr. Dino Prato, NMD, founder of Envieda Medical Centers, addresses patients and caregivers on how to actively manage a cancer diagnosis. He argues that fear stems from lack of information and urges listeners to "slow down" after diagnosis, collect extensive data, and seek thorough second opinions before initiating any treatment. Prato contrasts conventional oncology—typically based on a handful of data points and a one‑size‑fits‑all approach of chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery—with his precision oncology model that evaluates 1,000+ molecular, genetic, metabolic, and immunologic data points to tailor drug, integrative, and surgical interventions. He critiques popular unproven integrative remedies (e.g., ivermectin, methylene blue, high‑dose vitamin C, ketogenic diets) as ineffective without precise targeting. Throughout, he weaves a faith‑based narrative, citing scriptures (Psalm 46:10, 1 Cor 15:55, Romans 8:38‑39, Proverbs 3:5‑6) and emphasizing prayer, hope, and the belief that fear is a liar. He highlights the role of the immune system and psychoneuroimmunology, asserting that mindset, stress reduction, and spiritual optimism bolster immunity and improve outcomes. Prato cites internal studies showing a 35‑fold increase in response rates and a 43‑fold improvement in quality‑of‑life scores for late‑stage patients using his precision approach, and shares the story of “Sandy,” a patient who survived a terminal prognosis and later attended her children’s weddings. He concludes with practical advice: be still, gather comprehensive data, obtain personalized second opinions, integrate faith with medicine, and avoid rushed, fear‑driven decisions. The overall message is that combining high‑resolution precision medicine with spiritual trust empowers patients to “laugh at cancer” by removing its grip.

It's difficult when you're in the midst of cancer, and especially the early diagnosis. It feels like everything can slow down. But I'm going to tell you, if you can get the right data and map out the care, it makes all the difference in the world to a personalized path. Fear starts when we don't have knowledge. We don't know what's going to happen. We're being rushed into things and this happens. Patient gets diagnosed and they're most immediately brought in to start this or start that, begin your chemotherapy, family members start emailing weird integrative treatments, and all of this is happening all at once. When the secret to this is to slow down, get the data, get the right options before you start. It makes all the difference. This changes everything. In this episode, I'm going to go through more than just how to survive cancer, but it's about learning how to really look at cancer in a different way. And I've really named this laugh at cancer. Because it's not necessarily because anything to do with it being funny, but because when you stand in faith and you have the right information, you're going to give yourself the best chance to respond. Cancer loses its power and its grip over you. I'm Dr. Dino Prado, founder of Envieda Medical Centers. The last 25 years, we've worked with the most difficult patients, have innovated some of the newest technologies in the area of precision oncology, helping patients respond that have failed everywhere else. And I'm going to tell you that data makes all the difference. Basically, we want to treat cancer with 1000 plus data points, not the less than a couple of dozen that you get in standard oncology. And we don't want to just throw everything at it, even from the natural, integrative, conventional every area. We want to make sure from the prescription medications to the chemo to everything, it's targeted at the right dose. Why? Because you won't lose your hair. You'll have more energy, usually you'll feel good and you'll respond, in our clinical experience, much better. So when you first hear you have cancer, it's like the floor is falling out from underneath you. You're reacting. You don't understand where to go. Adrenaline is surging. Your thoughts blurs. In a moment in your brain, you're thinking about your life, the important things, your family. When you're in the midst of all that and you've rushed into that, and I've seen this over the years, you want to be still. And this is where you want to look at the grace of God, to give you strength. Go to prayer and begin to calm down. Get all the information. You are not a statistic. You're not an average and you're not going to be like everyone else. Your report doesn't have to be your outcome. And you're going to get family members urging you to do this or do that. Go to this doctor. And they're loving and they're meaningly caring. They just, they don't know. They're not experts in this field. Or your neighbor who's a doctor might say, go to this doctor. They're the best oncologist. Slow down, get all the information. The most important thing, instead of taking every dietary supplement, we get calls just to help you understand. In a regular month, thousands of calls, we get people coming in to talk to us. Some of them taking Ivermectin, Menbendazole, methylene blue, ozone, vitamin C. They're doing all these integrative cares. All kinds of diets you can imagine didn't work for them. And then we've got people on all kinds of chemotherapy coming in from top hospitals. It didn't work for them. And the reason I want to say this is because it comes down to precision care. It's not about just what you're taking or not taking. It's what's right for you. Before you start taking chemo or being put into radiation or surgery. Take a deep breath. I've seen this, I've seen these with patients over and over again. They tried this or that and it didn't work. And the answer is because they didn't have the right targeting, not because it may not be a good agent or may not help somebody, but it's not right for you. And to know what's right for you is the most important thing. So you don't want to be rushed into anything. That's why the very first thing is to be still. And I always like to start here with a scripture in Psalm 46, 10, be still and know that I am God. Because if you can stay in that, you can understand that you don't have to be forced into anything. I go back, we've seen so many patients over the years. A lot of people know one of our most famous patients, Sandy, who's spoken on our behalf as an ambassador. And I remember many years ago, almost two and a half decades ago, she came with a very late stage cancer, was seen by one of the top male clinic in Sloan Ketteran, and they gave her very, very slim chance of even surviving a year. But by the grace of God, we were able to get her the right care. And I mean, today we're so much better than we were two decades ago. But she got the care she needed. And the whole thing was she had two little kids and her goal was to be able to be at their wedding and see, I'm glad to say I was. It was a very blessed day when we were at her daughter's wedding, you know, many years later. And now they have. She's a grandmother. So the grace of God is with you even in the most difficult situations. Be still, put the right plans together, get all the information, what I call the proper second opinions, and then move from there. You don't have to operate in fear. People, I've seen it over and over again, can heal and overcome the most difficult diseases. But you need good planning, good strategy, and you have to put the pieces together. The real number one thing that you're tackling is fear. Fear is real. The fear of death, the fear of suffering, the fear of leaving your family too soon. But here's the truth. Fear is a liar. As a believer in the Lord, we know that death has already been conquered by Christ. First Corinthians 15:55 says, Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting? And in Romans 8:38, 39 reminds us, for I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God. And that love of God is the very thing that gives us direction. So when you pray, you have two things that can happen and they can both happen. But sometimes you'll have a healing where the disease literally heals by the grace of God, it clears. And what I see more common than that is you're given revelation by the grace of God in your spirit to know where to go and what to do that is powerful. That means you're not gonna follow what everybody else did. If you follow what everybody else does, you get the same outco. But if you have data and information and precision, you're giving yourself a chance to understand what's going on. So when fear is replaced with faith, good planning, good direction, you now start moving in the right direction. You start focusing on the mission that God still has for your life. And this changes everything. Faith doesn't mean you ignore the reality. It means you bring God into the reality and make it, transform it by the grace of God, a supernatural blessing of peace and direction. The other thing we wanna do is navigate this medical maz okay, so this is the next part. So here this is the hard truth. Conventional oncology, it's a system and it can help people, but it's usually better in early stage disease and in late stage disease in my clinical experience. And it's only using a few data points. It's based on the, what I always say, the double blind placebo clinical trials that treat everybody the same. And it works for some and not for others. But it's only using a couple, maybe 24 data points. This is very different. And then you're pushed into three categories. Radiation, chemotherapy and surgery. Not necessarily in that order, but you're in one of those buckets. And those tools can be useful sometimes in early stage disease, but they are not the same as personalized targeting. Personalized precision medicine allows for you to look at 1000 plus or more data points and then custom build everything upon your the drug targets, the integrative targets, the treatments, even targeted surgery that can be minimally invasive. And the difference is people keep their hair, they have energy, better color. And what we've seen in our 2024 study, 35 times better response. That's the difference with late stage cancers that we see with this type of precision targeting. Many patients now have more energy and better quality of life and their outcome. And the quality of Life score was 43 times better, which is to me an even more important number. So see, you don't have all the information. So before you start jumping into everything, get all the information so you can have the right planning. And this is what I've seen in our clinical experience, when you have that, you're going to have a better trajectory and dispel the fear now along the way, you're going to have integrative care. Sometimes some of you have maybe seen things that have been on the Internet or YouTube or whatever you're watching. People have sent you this diet or this program. I try to stay away from all that stuff, but people send it to you and it's a hit or miss. Try this, try that, take this. Are you taking methylene blue? Are you doing ozone therapy? Are you doing high dose vitamin C? Are you doing this diet? And some of those things are good, but they may not be the exact targets for you. For example, a common thing you'll hear is cancer is a metabolic disease and it is so stop eating sugar. And yes, that's true, but if a ketogenic diet was the cure to cancer, we would have had many, many, many thousands and thousands and thousands of patients over the years. Be Totally cured by simply not eating sugar. It's not that easy. That's one aspect of mitochondrial dysfunction. So not to complicate things, but yes, eating. Getting sugar out of the diet, eating healthy, nutritious foods, good quality proteins, nutrient foods, nutrient dense foods. It's really important, but it doesn't solve the whole problem. You don't just starve the cancer that easily, at least not for most patients. Because these metabolic dysfunctions of the mitochondria can be caused by infections, chemical toxins, heavy metals, and mutations that then develop. We need to know what's the right target for you. So you're gonna have people sending you all these diets and, you know, put yogurt, blend it with flaxseed, the budwig, and all these things. But this is not the answer. What you need to find is what's right for you. The next component that's going to be critical is you need to mind your immune system, because the immune system, in our clinical experience, seeing many thousands of patients, is the key. You need to understand that cancer can't happen when the immune system knows where the cancer is and is able to target it. It's part of the engine that's critical here. Studies have shown that when people incorporate immunotherapy in the right places, they're going to usually have better responses. And the more targeted that immune system is, the better. Things that can affect your immune system can be stress. That's correct. So when the stress of getting cancer, you can weaken your immune system, your natural killer cells, dendritic cells. Obviously, poor diet and lifestyle and infections weaken immunity. A lot of things can. So the immune system is really important. So when by just cleaning up some of the things you're doing in the diet, helping the body with some of its nutrition, you're going to start helping the immune system. But what we want to do is we want to make sure that we get the immune system involved. The immune system is critically involved. And that's going to be a piece that's going to be essential long term, not just short term. You may be already in remission and you want to hold it. It's going to be immune system. It's going to play a big role for the majority of cancers. And the next component is going to be what I call psychoneuroimmunology. That means your mood and emotions, your positive understanding. Hope, pray and don't worry. One of my favorite quotes is from a catholic priest by the name of padre Pio. Hope, pray, don't worry, hope. We have A hope that's different because we hope in the Lord. We're not going to follow what everybody else does. We're going to follow what's right for your body, your individual cancer. We're not going to worry, we're not going to operate in fear, but we're going to operate in faith. And the word of God and the scripture of God, that gives us life, that gives us optimism, which affects our immune system. And there's been studies. Even the Mayo Clinic did a study on lung cancer patients and found the ones that were non pessimistic just by removing the pessimism, live six months longer. Now that's not the end of the story. But just to give you an idea, or during final seasons when kids are stressed, they get more colds and flus. Why? Because of their stress. So the immune system is critically important to keep strong. But it's also the mindset, the peace of mind that you need to have. And your faith will get you there. As you surrender to Christ and you start getting the right testing, you're going to start seeing a different trajectory as the Lord comes upon you, giving you direction, power, and where you need to go and what you need to do. So this is critical. Real hope keeps your immune system strong and engaged. And this moves us away from depression and anxiety, which weakens the immune system. So that's why I tell patients, hey, trust in the Lord. If you haven't been close to the Lord, now's a good time to do it and get your scriptures in front of you, because the word of God is like medicine and you want to start implanting that and now get the right planning and start working it and God will start moving and opening doors for you on your mind and your spirit and in the right medicine you need along the way. This faith is going to be the critical piece to your fight because as you're doing treatment and care, you are going to start to see your hope and your direction and your faith illuminate your path. And I always like to tell people in this 25 years of our work and our paper we published in 24, and now we have an even new paper coming out which is going to be better. But we had a 35 times improvement in late stage cancer patients compared to 72% response in late stage cancer patients compared to a 2% palliative response in conventional care that was 35 times better. So it's 35 times. Imagine if we see you sooner, that's even better. Because precision or works. If you look at Studies from ipredict and wither, and I won't go into all these, they show you that whenever precision was used in combination, people responded better, lived longer. Now the level of precision we're doing is so high because n of 1, everything's treated for you,000 plus data points you're always going to have. What we see is our patients don't lose their hair. They have color, they have energy, they have faith. They look like they're on vacation. Can you imagine you have a late stage cancer patient. I said this the other day, I saw two of them. Late stage colon cancers spread to the liver. Very, very severe cancers, looking beautiful, lots of energy, good health. And our study showed 43 times better quality of life. This is not just some hope in theory, this is the grace of God. Working through precision medicine, which I believe will be the future to ending cancer, is the precision targeting. That's not luck, that's not. It's by design. And the Lord is in the details. And so faith is part of it and medicine is part of it. So trust in the Lord. I love this 1. Proverbs 3, 5, 6. I give you this because trust is critical in this. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding and in your own ways, submit to him and he will make your path straight through every step. So you pray for guidance, ask for wisdom and God will give it to you. So you want to build your plan on that wisdom and on the blessing of God. And so when you have faith and you have the right personalized medicine and you have the right planning now, you have all the right second opinions and you can proceed, you can decide to go from there. You don't have to be in fear. And so when I say you can look at cancer and laugh at it, it's not because it's a joke, it's because you no longer are being held bondage by it, you are empowered, you know where to go, you have the information you need and you're not operating in fear, you're operating in faith. In the work that we do now. You're accessing technology that people don't see, they're not going to see probably for another decade or longer because of the precision targeting. By the time all these were to get approved and covered by insurance. This could take, you know, who knows, 15, 20 plus years. But it's accessible right now because of the roadmap that we've built in precision oncology. So when you bring all this in, you take all this information, meet with your doctors and then proceed from there. Be still. Don't rush into anything. Don't be forced into anything. Replace your fear with faith. Stop listening to all the noise around you, even though a lot of loved ones and family members are there. But let the data guide you and let the Word of God inspire you. If you get this full picture, you're going to have a trajectory no one else has ever had and that's going to give you the greatest advantage. So I want to encourage you that you are able, by the grace of God to overcome all things. Trust in the Lord, for all things are possible with God. Follow the path of getting the right information, being still trusting in your faith, and the Lord will guide you. May the Lord bless you on your journey and I hope this was helpful that you are not to be defined by cancer or any chronic disease, but by the grace of God that is here to heal you and restore your life. May the Lord bless you on your journey to healing and I hope this was helpful for you. Thank you. God bless you.
