Cancer treatment shouldn't rely only on chemotherapy. Your immune system, especially dendritic cells and natural killer cells, does the real cleanup work. Dendritic cells collect tumor antigens and alert NK cells to hunt down cancer cells throughout your body.

Why blast your body when you can teach your immune system to hunt the tumor? Your immune system is the way your body knows to fight cancer. It's the first and last defense against cancer, and many patients don't understand that. In my clinical view, the difference maker is your immune system. Even when chemo helps, it's your immune system that's ultimately doing the cleanup and the work and passing the information on to the body. Your dendritic cell. Gather the information, pass it to your natural killer cell, and the natural killer cell does the killing. So the best way for me to explain this in an analogy is you have a detective. It does all the detective work. That's the dendritic cell picks up all the antigens, the shedded particles from the outside of the tumor and passes that to the natural killer cell. And then the natural killer cell acts as, like, a police sniper and goes right in and takes out the tumor because it knows where it is, but it can do it throughout the body.
