The Best Treatment for Squamous Cell Tongue, Head and Neck Cancer

In this YouTube episode Dr. Dino Prado, founder of Envita Medical Centers, critiques the conventional treatment pathway for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma—biopsy, robotic surgery, and up to 35 rounds of radiation—using the high‑profile case of comedian Dave Coulier as a cautionary example. Prado argues that NCCN guidelines are outdated, emphasizing that many patients suffer unnecessary pain, loss of speech, and swallowing dysfunction because the standard of care ignores root‑cause infectious drivers and the potential of precision immunotherapy. He outlines his 25‑year experience employing deep multi‑omics mapping, circulating tumor DNA and methylation monitoring, and comprehensive viral, bacterial, fungal, and mycotoxin profiling to identify immune suppression. The core of his approach is personalized immunotherapy—autologous cancer vaccines, adoptive natural‑killer cell therapy, and targeted immune activation—delivered after rebuilding the patient’s immune system. Prado illustrates the contrast with two success stories (patients “Mike” and “David”) who avoided surgery and radiation, regained function, and entered long‑term remission. Throughout, he stresses quality‑of‑life outcomes, the need for adaptive testing, and a call to clinicians and patients to adopt precision oncology over one‑size‑fits‑all protocols.

You know him from Full House. Dave Coulier, who played Uncle Joey, the comedian who made us laugh for years. Now he's sharing something no one expected. A very public battle with tongue cancer. Unfortunately, he had to do 35 rounds of radiation and robotic surgery. So we want to avoid all that. You see, you can have all the money in the world and still have outdated care. And in this episode, I'm going to show you just how outdated this care was. Even though he has access to the best hospitals, we've solved this problem with many patients even more advanced than his case using immunotherapy. And we're going to walk through this together because it's so important for you to know the difference. Now, I pray that he heals and he gets well and he holds remission. But I want to show you a technique that is very powerful in helping people with tongue cancers and many other cancers with the immune system so we can avoid the radiation, the pain, the suffering, potential speech issues, swallowing issues with all the radiation and robotic surgery that can cause permanent damage. And we're going to talk about how we have seen these cancers clear up with immunotherapy using precision targeting. I'm Dr. Dino Prado, founder of Envita Medical Centers. For the last 25 years, my team and I have helped patients who've failed some of the top cancer hospitals across the country. And today I'm going to show you how in precision oncology, we can help people with head and neck squamish cell carcinomas, tongue cancers, because the NCCNA guidelines, in my opinion, are outdated. And we're going to use David Coulier's case to kind of talk about that and educate around this because it's so important that people get the right care. Now, by the grace of God, I hope he holds remission and stays well. But I'm going to walk you through the pain and suffering that many patients go through, but oftentimes is unnecessary when dealing with head and nec cancer. Before you change anything, make sure you're working with a doctor. And let's get started on this case because I think this is a really interesting case. So Dave Coulier, beloved comedian from Full House, showing life and energy had as an actor and then after cancer, you can see the difference that his body went through and the taxing experience of that. Now, this cancer is often described as squamous carcinoma and can be related to human papillomavirus. But he caught this in October 2025 and during the follow up imaging and the PET scans and after prior cancer journey with stage 3 non HODG lymphoma, which they don't believe is related. But I'm going to show you how it is related in precision oncology. Because when you have infections, you suppress the immune system. And if you don't eliminate the root causes, which most doctors do not test for, these infections, they don't test for all the viral, bacterial, fungal, mycotoxin, mold infections that suppress the immune system, you can have other cancers appear. And I believe this is what happened in this case. Just drawing on my 25 years of experience working with late stage cancer patients, if you do not solve the root cause, it can come back in a different form. And I believe this is part of the story here. So he underwent painful robotic surgery to biopsy part of the tongue and then 35 rounds of targeted radiation all the way in December 2025. And he talked about the toll it took on him physically and emotionally. He credits the lymphoma follow up PET scan for catching this other cancer. When you're looking at a PET scan and imaging that is not early adaptive monitoring. So I always tell you if somebody's had a cancer and you're in remission, you want to use circulating tumor cells, CT free DNA and you also want to use methylation score. So we can spot that or any other cancer coming back way before it's there. They have two cancers that they think is related. I'm going to show you why the doctors missed this and what needed to be done. They're related through immune suppression and they're related through infection. So now let's talk about what nobody wants to talk about out loud, that tongue and throat radiation is brutal. So he could have avoided a lot of this if in my opinion the root cause analysis was treated and the immune system was re established. And in that case you usually would not get another cancer because at that point your immune system is now targeted to shut down cancer. Remember, over 10,000 times a day you get pre cancer cells and guess what, shuts them down your immune system deletes them when have a good immune system. Unfortunately in his case it came back because the lymphoma though may have been treated successfully. The root cause was never dealt with. And that's not untypical. I've seen that before. And then that goes here where you have a case of a person that has throat pain, sores, dry mouth, lose their taste and swallowing, all from this radiation. It's really brutal. Depending on how much tissue is removed, it can affect your speech with the robotic surgery. Now if you look at the industrial complex of oncology, that's a standard program. You have surgery, robotic, very high billable, 35 rounds of radiation with targeted billable. And where's the immunotherapy? Where's the root cause analysis? This is archaic oncology. And it doesn't matter. Went to a very top hospital in California, has all the money in the world, but lack of knowledge and being sent down these protocols leads people to not get the best treatment in the world. I've seen patients that have said, geez, if I can't speak again or lose my voice, I don't want to live anymore. And so we have found tools, fantastic tools in precision oncology with deep mapping to help people hold remission and keep their voice and their health, Avoiding a lot of this pain and suffering. So if you've already been through this, my heart goes out to you, but I want to share with the rest of you what you can do in head and neck and really any other cancers when you bring in immunotherapy. And we've seen this with our patients, Some of them would say, I'd rather die than go through that because they don't want to lose their voice. And here you've got a comedian. David coulier is a famous comedian. You know, speaking, acting, whatever they might be doing in that world, they need their vocal capacity. So it's so much loss that oftentimes people don't want to go through this. So I'm going to show you some examples of cases we've treated using N of 1 precision targeting. So I'm going to introduce you to Mike because his story makes the point. 51 year old, retained retired deputy sheriff. You can see his testimonial, Adam Vida. He's a fantastic man. He came to us as soon as he got diagnosed with cancer in California. We started doing deep testing. We found the cause of his cancer was related to infection and related to weak immunity. We rebuilt his immune system. The moment he got his circulating tumor cell data back, we knew it was spread. We knew that there was tonsil infections that he had had in the past. We knew that the history of the root cause was linked to infection. So the natural killer cells became huge here. So after deep mapping RNA DNA immunospatial bio work we do, we saw this metastatic squamous cell carcinoma and we went in and built a cancer cell vaccine using autoglous adoptive immunotherapy. And as soon as naturalist killer Cells went in. He immediately, within days was able to eat and swallow. It was always fantastic. Now he's been in remission for multiple years now, is a big fan of the work we do and tells everybody about us. But he's not the only patient. We've seen multiple patients in the same scenario with head and neck cancers. I want to bring up here that the hospital missed and David Coulier's and the many, many patients is they miss it when it comes to immunotherapy and the target because yeah, radiation can spot treat it, you can do robotic surgery, but you're not going to shut it down. You're going to be chasing it until you get the immune system to recognize it. And immunotherapy works really well for head and neck cancer. And he responded, Mike responded fantastic. Now I'm going to take you through why that was important. We did it by avoiding systemic toxicity. Didn't have all the same side effects, didn't have all the same complications. The patient now was able to eat, get their nutrition back. Then you have this big tall police guy that has full, full of health and energy and is such a blessing that I know him. I'm very grateful to always share patient stories. But it wasn't magic, it was targeted care. And he knew that from the beginning. So he got to avoid what you see here with David Coulier story, which is just tragic. Now I'm going to take you through another story, another stage four squamous cell carcinoma. And this patient came into us, his name was David and his same thing, side effects, didn't want to do surgery, didn't want to lose function of his voice, didn't want to lose the ability to hear, taste and some of these other complications that can happen that can be pretty severe. So what do we do? Immunotherapy again. We were able to go right to the tumor with immunotherapy. Remember, there's no one size F. So what is that immunotherapy I'm talking about? It's based on deep multi omics mapping. We know the DNA, we know the rna, we know the immune system, the spatial biology. And then we can go and inject that area, build an immune system response using a thousand plus data points, not the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. One size fits all. Because what they do there is they say, okay, you have squamous cell carcinoma in the tongue or head and neck cancer. Here's a regimen. Radiation, chemo. If it doesn't work, we'll look at the second regimen, this level of targeting, we're talking about a thousand plus more markers. And his genetic analysis that when we were working with David, showed us clearly what his pathways were. We were able to custom build his therapies, build the immune system and put the patient into full remission where they could speak and now are working and thriving in their businesses with their families. This particular patient, David, is now back to running 5Ks, feeling fantastic. Didn't go through the same pain and suffering that David Coulier did. Even though David Coulier has much more influence, power, money, and we wish him all the best in his healing. But it's the lack of knowledge, of understanding. Precision oncology is available and he had to suffer. So the number one thing here is that the standard pathway in the hospital, hospital is going to follow that biopsy, surgery, radiation regimen for many cancers, not just head and neck and tongue cancers. And yes, done early enough, sure it can save lives, but it's archaic because when you have precision pathways, you can go in with a sniper, target, get the patient the medicines they need right from their DNA, rna, immune system and target the treatment so their immune system can go to work. And guess what? Once your immune system can identify the cancer, not only does it get rid of it, but it teaches the body as you build long term immunity, as we use phytotherapeutics and other tool to go after those cancers so that they hold remission. You patients I shared with you have been in remission for many years now, several years. And so that is very powerful. We avoided a lot of this care that is archaic with personalized immunotherapy. That's important because we're not just looking at short term outcomes and improving quality of life. We're looking at getting people's ability to eat, speak, taste, sleep, work, live their lives. That's the power of precision oncology. Because head and neck radiation can trigger major mouth, throat complications, dry mouth, infections of the mucosa, swallowing problems, taste problems, lingering issues. And we can avoid that with, with targeted immunotherapy. I just want to share that with you. Now we're talking about treating it. I want to go back to this root cause for a moment because he had, David Coulier had lymphoma. And what's the link there with lymphoma, head and neck cancers? Well, there's a lot of viruses here that can, you can test for. The most obvious is hpv, human papillomavirus. And that's so important because if that infection was present, if there were other infection, be Epstein Barr, Cytomegalovirus, HHV6, whatever the infections were, could be bacterial biofungal. The patient's infections need to be treated, otherwise his immune system would have stayed depressed after the lymphoma. Because lymphomas are also link oftentimes to viral infections. And guess what happens? Immune suppression will lead to other cancers. That's why you need deep root analysis of the cause and treat it and rebuild the body to knock the infections down. When you run the full infectious profiles and get the immune system back so it can do its surveillance, it can stop the persistence of mutational risk, inflammatory risk, the vulnerabilities that we see with head and neck cancers, really all cancer types. So there is a connection with lymphoma causing tongue cancers. It's just you're not going to see that on the standard of care because these people do not test for infections. They don't run full viral profiles, bacterial profiles, fungal, mycotoxins, tick borne Lyme disease profiles. When you do that, you see patients that have these infections and you need to knock them down, get rid of them and rebuild the immune system so you can knock their inflammation away and their exposure to the infections and get their body healthy again so that they can live their best life. Because we've done the root cause work, the patients have a greater chance of avoiding really other diseases as well with other types of cancers from reoccurring. So I hope you got the message and we use a story of this man and I pray that he's well and his family and him are blessed and he continues to stay in remission. But there's so many people that suffer. Surgery, radiation, all the standard of care that oftentimes is not the best targeted treatment. It's national Comprehensive Cancer Network, it's population health. It's not precision designed for the patient, which is the work that I want to spread with the world is that if we do precision targeting and treatment and then follow up with adaptive testing, we can change the world for so many patients as we have so people can live their best life. I know nobody wants 35 rounds of radiation and robotic surgery, so we want to avoid that and we want to get give people the care that they need based on their blueprint on deep mapping. So I hope you found this episode helpful and I hope you subscribe because it helps us get the word out there of precision oncology to doctors, patients all around the world so we're not stuck in this one size fits all model and people can be treated with precision. Quality of life Help them to live their best life. I hope you found this episode helpful and may the Lord bless you on your journey to healing. Bump.
