What if I told you the scariest Lyme disease cases aren't the ones with a rash, they're the ones you never know you caught in the first place. I've been doing this work for two decades and I'm going to share real clinical experience because the infections change the game, both for autoimmune disease and for cancer patients. In 2024, a study reported evidence that borrelia, the DNA of that borrelia, was found in invasive breast cancer cases in their tissue of biopsy. So this is a real thing, and I know a lot of people don't like to talk about that. People that have cancer have infections. Lyme disease is one we test for all the time and we find it much more commonly than you think. So that doesn't prove that it causes all cancers. No, but it can add as a complication to immunity and infection and helping people heal. The same reason why we talk about mold and mycotoxins and viral infections and what we call chronic Lyme disease complex, because patients don't present with one infection. If you've been doing real clinical work as a physician, you'll see they have multiple infections at one time and their immune system is depressed. And you need to find out all of them so you can treat them, not just treat the Lyme disease. So in this episode, we're going to talk about how we can get into the central nervous system, treat neuroborreliosis, getting past the blood brain barrier and treatment is really important. How to get rid of the infection, how to help the body's immune system heal. Because at the end of the day, you need your immune system and your inflammation to calm down so you can overcome this. So patients are getting labeled with things like fibromyalgia, all kinds of conditions. Lyme disease can mimic something like 360 plus infections. That's why people don't know that have it. They could really have another disease. But if you test it, they may have a tick borne illness. Lyme is just one of them. They get borrelia, babesia, bartonella, or lychia. They can have other infections. Patients will be told, oh, you have psychological problems. And in fact they have Lyme disease. Often cancers that just keep returning after going through treatment can be because they have chronic infections that aren't being treated, including Lyme disease. So it gets missed. And many patients go on wondering, why did their disease come back? Why is their immune system weak? Well, today I'm going to show you what precision treatment looks like with an advanced, advanced Lyme disease patient. We are one of the leaders in doing this work and have for many decades. So I'm going to include topics of neural berylliosis, the most complicated Lyme disease cases, where you have a lot of neurological problems, using real case stories and history so you can see the framework of how a doctor should think in treating these conditions. Yes, every patient is a little different, but in cancer patients, they can have chronic Lyme disease or infections that are complicating their treatment. And we're going to talk about that in today's episode and I'm going to kind of show you how to think about this in a different way. I'm Dr. Dino Prado, founder of Envita Medical Centers. For the last 25 years, my team and I have helped patients with the most difficult types of cancers and yes, alongside that, treating chronic Lyme disease, some of the most difficult diseases, before the term was popular, before doctors started going into this area, we were doing the work. So the length and breadth of clinical experience we have is really second to none with these complicated cases. And really at the end of the day, that's what matters most. Because without the clinical experience of the many thousands of patients we've treated, you're basically hearing me read from published papers, which means nothing. I'm going to share a real clinical story and I'm going to show you the link to immunity and immune suppression and why these infections need to be tested for correctly cleaned out of the body and we need to establish patients good strong immunity. So without talking to a doctor, don't change your medical care. Let's get started. Here's the problem. Most tick borne infections, including Lyme disease, never get diagnosed correctly and cancer patients never get tested for these infections at all. So most Lyme disease care is built around one infection, Borrelia. But Lyme testing can be tricky because many tests look for the antibodies or signals, they don't actually test for the infection directly. So you get a lot of false negatives, meaning, oh, you don't have the infection, but you really do. That means early testing can come back negative and patients never get diagnosed and they move on. And when a doctor does that and doesn't know how to test for these infections, doesn't know how to combine the proper tests, they'll miss it. And now you're going to have all these autoimmune disease, fibromyalgia, you can have all kinds of diseases that may have an origin and infectious disease that get completely missed. So the bigger story is let's look at all of the infections. So we need to look at co infections. I can tell you very rarely, rarely, if at all, do you see a patient come in with one infection. They have a series of infections. My team and I, two and a half decades ago named it chronic lyme disease complex. Why? Because people rarely have one infection. They have viral, bacterial, fungal, mycotox. They can have a combination of these infections. And for the most part, these went undiagnosed completely. And when they did get diagnosed by some integrative doctors, they didn't get diagnosed correctly. So they only pick up on a few infections and they weren't able to knock the infection down and re establish the immune system. So the disease returns and so you find patients that are suffering. They have chronic viruses, they could have mold, mice, mycotoxins, they can have immune disruption. And yes, in the integrative space, it can be missed. Treatments like ozone therapy don't cure these things. They can be adjuvants for support. Peptide therapies help with signaling and healing, but they don't cure these diseases. They may help with immunity, detox repair. The secrets to these infections is you need to find them and you need to eradicate them or knock them down to the point where the immune system can now return to healthy function and inflammation to normal balance. But when you have neuroborreliosis, a complicated version of lyme disease, that now you've got all these neurological symptoms, you can't think memory until you knock that down, you will not have the results you want. That's just clinical experience. So we've seen a lot of patients, even in the early years, before peptides were a thing, almost two decades ago, they were using stem cells and they wouldn't improve. A little improvement, it would come back. Then they started using peptide, little improvement, come back. You need to knock the infections down first before you do the reparative care. I want to repeat that again for patients and doctors. You first have to knock the infections down, all of them, knock that inflammation down before you can start repair. Then repair will hold and patients will now have a better quality life. So that's really important when we look at testing. The testing needs to be comprehensive, looking at all the infections, all the targets. And when a patient has cancer and they have these infections, if you ignore these infections, the cancer will return or come back in another form because you've never eliminated the root cause to the cellular disruption. And that's the key, that's the bottom line. It's based on testing. Everyone is going to Be different. And you need to know what they need. Now, Lyme disease complex that our team coined about 20 years ago is not just Borrelia. It can be Borrelia, Babesia, Barton, ehrlichia, Epstein Barr, HHV6, mycotoxin, cytomegalovirus. And patients will have variations of these and this will help you to stack the right treatment. The neurological symptoms, autonomic dysfunction, gut shutdown, severe fatigue, brain fog, mood, cognitive problems, reproductive problems, inflammation. Ticks can carry all kinds of pathogens and it's not just the ticks. We can have these co infections because a patient becomes opportunistic to picking up these infections with weak immunity which these tick borne infections cause. So in this episode I'm going to walk you through understanding Lyme disease and how it links to cancer in a way that I don't think others have done. Typically when people have Lyme disease, they'll run a western blot or an antibody test and it'll show positive or negative. And yes, it can give you an idea that a patient has Lyme disease, but you're not looking at all the infections and you're not actually able to see the real information of the infection. You're only able to see that they have a likelihood of having the infection. And you can get false negatives. I mean the patient can actually have an infection and come back negative because the testing wasn't done right. So the laboratory testing is everything. And most clinicians do not have the right laboratory tests. Most facilities do not run the right battery of tests to look for these infections because they might run one test and then they say, oh, you don't have it. Or they run another test and they diagnose it without having the proper backup testing. So testing is the first step so you get a full picture of the complete complex of infections. Whether you're a cancer patient or you have an autoimmune disease, this is the place to start. Second, you need to look at all the infections and build treatment to reach these. Now, if a patient has a lot of neurological symptoms, your treatment treatment has to pass the blood brain barrier. We've developed precision targets to do that. That's very difficult to get past the blood brain barrier with immunity and with specific infections to kill. We've done that very successfully for our patients. That's why we've seen people improve greatly. But that's a big part of it. Because patients can knock the infection down with an antibiotic, feel better for a little bit and then return. The next part becomes you need to understand why the immune system is being disrupted. Thyroid function, immune function, both from mycotoxins mold, viruses. How to re strengthen the immune system so eventually the patient's immun system can act on its own. Because while in clinic a doctor can augment immunity using tools and treatments integrative conventional to give the immune system a boost. But how do you reestablish it when they go home so they can keep strong immunity? That's the key of treating Lyme disease and critical if we're going to knock it down so we can help our cancer patients finally stay and hold remission. So when the nervous system is involved, you need more sophisticated strategies. You can't just use standard of care for our patients. We've advanced a technology called IRAD which is designed specifically to get dementia medicines past the blood brain barrier and knock those infections down to help the central nervous system. And this is really important with patients who have a lot of the neurological symptoms of Lyme or autoimmune diseases that have neurological presentations that likely have a series of infections connected to them. So now let's talk about something most doctors do not mention. Lyme cancer, autoimmunity, this inflammation triangle. Do we claim Lyme alone causes cancer? The answer is no. It can suppress the immune system, make it difficult to treat it. But infections have been known to bring about cancer because you typically don't see a patient with just one infection. So if they have chronic inflammation suppressed immunity, the tumor is growing and you need to do something about that that could lead to resistance. In the treatment of cancer, you have to treat the full complex of the cancer or the autoimmune disease by treating the infections correctly. This makes a big difference. So let me take you through some cases. A 37 year old female started with migraines, she had aura vertigo, intense adrenaline flood to the body, er visits for 10 years, being sick, not knowing what's causing. I was told she had fibromyalgia pots I was told she had central sensitization. When she came to us and we did the testing, we found she had severe neurological involvement with persistent migraines, brain fog, gut dismobility, swallowing issues. At such a young age, it was all neurological, autonomic problems and palpitations, chest tightness. So we did strong testing and we found yes, you had borrelia, bartonella, mycotoxins, very high TGF beta 1 inflammation. And after nine weeks of treating her, her symptoms improved tremendously. She cleared up. Infectious testing improved. We found that we needed to recorrect her Total health. And in further testing in that same patient, we found thyroid nodules, the development of early thyroid cancer happening. So we had to treat that. So the patient now held remission, infections were cleared and she got her life back, able to continue with her family. So you can see that's the type of case you'll see, see how complicated that was, all those things happening, visits after visits to doctors, ERs, no one could help her. Then deep testing did and we were able to get to the root cause and help her. Let's move to the next case. 69 year old female, she develop developed jaw dystonia for about four years, progressively getting worse. Tried medication, botox, all these things to help with the neurological problems not improving. Then she found that she had high lead in her plasma. And we tested, of course she came back positive with Lyme disease and she had a DNA based tick borne markers of what we call OSP A, B and C which is all these variations. She had Chlamydia pneumonia, which can be linked to lung cancers. Environmental toxins were very high because oftentimes patients with Lyme disease have very poor ability to take out the trash. From a genetic perspective, their ability to detoxify isn't the best and so they need support in those pathways continuously. She had a high TGF beta, high inflammation. So we treated her in six weeks. The improvement was so dramatic. The patient got her life back, Daily functions, her quality of life returned basically to normal and now we were able to reestablish her immune system. She stayed healthy and felt well and continued to improve. I'll give you another case. This is a case of a 28 year old female that had a tonsilectomy and then she never felt the same again. So what does that have to do with Lyme fibromyalgia, Psychiatric hospitalizations, bipolar diagnosis, loss of ability to be pregnant, extreme pain, IBS pain, severe fatigue. And so when the patient came to us, we diagnosed her with Lyme disease, Epstein Barr, Babesia. You see these as a virus. Two tick borne illnesses, high inflammatory markers, Bartonella, I mean you talk about all that with multiple viral markers, elevated, mycotoxins elevated. So you can imagine if a patient has all these infections going on with chronic inflammation, how are they going to get help if they're in the middle of cancer treatment or if they have an autoimmune disease? Until you eliminate this root cause, you won't. That's why it's so important we train doctors to properly eradicate these infections and reestablish the patient's inflammatory pathways and immunity. And so as we did eight weeks later, patients stabilized, mood returned, mental health returned, inflammation dropped, got her life back. See, this is the power of real advanced treatment in tick borne disease. So here's what I want you to take away from this. When we're working with a cancer patient, these can be linked to causes of the cancer or suppressing in the immune system. Or we're working with autoimmune fibromyalgia, neurological disease. It's still the same idea. You need to test, find what the root causes, eliminate it, reestablish the immune system, help the body detoxify, reestablish the inflammatory pathways and you can repair and return somebody to health. Now once you've done that and you're working with a doctor, Doctor can help you with some peptides, they can help you with some balance other areas, hormonal balances, other things to really make your health flourish, Reestablish your adrenal glands, your energy, right, your immunity, all those things can happen. But you have to knock down the infections and you first have to know which one they are and where they're located. And that's the key. I've seen in my clinical experience that that's typically what is not done well even in integrative carrots. We treat Lyme, but the level of depth is very superficial to the level of what a patient really needs to heal. So here's the questions to ask your doctor because I want this to be powerful for you. Stop thinking you just have one infection and stop thinking that that's the only infection that's stopping you from getting well from cancer. It's usually a combination. It has to do with your immune system. So here's the questions we want to ask. Did we for all the infections properly, not just for Lyme disease. And for some ancillary testing, we did a complex viral, bacterial, fungal, mycotoxin, immune analysis. Did we do all of that and then did we dial it in? Did we check for the immune disruptors because viruses mold mycotoxins, they disrupt immunity, they make it harder to treat cancer, they make it easier for the diseases to return, they make it easier to be refractory, to care because your immune system is shut down. Is our nervous system involved and does the treatment we're going to use past a blood brain barrier to affect the central nervous system so that we can get our mental faculties back and improve, improve on all of that? Those are the questions you want to ask and are we testing for all of those because you can have complexity of mycotoxins, molds, infections of various types, all working together along with the Lyme disease itself. This is the thing I want you to understand. Chronic Lyme disease complex. What does that mean? It means that people have many co infections, viral, bacterial, fungal. That means it's a complex of infections, a complex of tick borne infections, Babesia, Bartonella or Lychia. It can be a combination. And when you test now, you know exactly what the patient has and what to treat. Get the precision care you need so you can help the patient heal, reduce the infections, reestablish the immune system. This is the key and this is why I want you to see that Lyme disease. It's no surprise to me that in this 2024 paper they found it in an inflammatory breast cancer. They found the tick borne illness of Borrelia. Because we've seen it in patients for two and a half decades. They have infections and if you test, you will see them. And if you see them, you need to treat them. And if you treat them, you can help get to the root cause, eliminate the problems with the immune system and then do proper immunotherap and other cancer treatments to help patients heal. So understand me clearly. I'm not saying that patients with Lyme disease all get cancer. Absolutely not. Or they all get autoimmune disease. Absolutely not. But patients that have chronic infections that go untreated will have a higher risk of those things. And if they have those alongside those diseases, it makes it harder to treat them. That's why we have to get to the root cause of the problem and not just superficially treat alongside the care. And yes, you'll need cancer treatment alongside this or you'll need other treatment. But when you're working with doctors that know what they're doing, you're to able, able to organize that precision protocol that fits for your needs. Not a one size fits all. And imagine now you have all these infections, all these toxins, your body can't detoxify. Let's just add chemotherapy to that. Another toxin, destroy the gut. So it's very important that you're working with doctors that understand healing and can help you get to the root cause of the problem. I hope you found this episode helpful. Now I'm going to ask you for a favor. Please subscribe because it helps the channel and we get the word out so people can think outside the box, outside of this one size fits all big pharma model and get the precision care that they need. So I think you again for your help. May the Lord bless you on your journey to healing.
