The Plastic Inside Your Body Is Causing Cancer

Dr. Dino Prado argues microplastics accumulate in human tissues and trigger chronic inflammation, DNA damage, and cancer development while weakening chemotherapy's effectiveness. He says apheresis, a plasma-exchange procedure, is the only proven method to physically remove microplastics and heavy metals from the body.

It is now believed that the average person has accumulated the equivalent of a spoonful worth of microplastics in their body. And the disturbing research suggests a significant concentration of this may be in the brain. So stop and think about that. Let that sink in. This isn't theoretical pollution. This is an internal contamination, invisible to the naked eye, undetectable by standard laboratory tests and completely ignored by the major medical institutions. Ask your local oncologist about the link between microplastics and your tumor and you'll likely be met with disbelief or even laughter. But what if the invisible menace, this contamination of microplastics and sometimes heavy metals, chemical toxins, and chronic infections are hugely overlooked and they're driving the cause of your cancer, the progression of the disease, sabotaging your immune system and worse, your chances of healing. It's an inconvenient truth. Complete avoidance is impossible. We live in a toxic world. It accumulates in our body. Even the cleanest people that are doing all the top biohacking, they will have toxins in their body. This toxic stew is not just a driver of disease. It's one of the key direct barriers, barriers to successful cancer treatment. In this episode, we're going to expose the scientific link between these hidden invaders and cancer development. And we're going to reveal the only proven powerful method we have to clear microplastics and other toxins from the body. A method that we've been perfecting in our clinical work for over a decade to remove microplastics, heavy metals, and infectious disease. I'm Dr. Dino Prado, the founder of Envita Medical center. For the last 25 years, my team and I have focused on helping patients who had failed some of the top cancer hospitals across the country. We utilize persist n of 1 treatment, testing, targeting, immunotherapy. We use data over dogma and we do a deep root cause analysis to help our patients, not just treating their symptoms, but getting to the cost so we can help their immune system do the work of helping them eliminate their cancer. In this episode, we're going to break down an important chemical and toxic irritant and how to help the body remove and down regulate this harmful action of chronic disease and inflammation that comes from the menace of microplastics. These microplastics can really be sabotaging. So let's talk about the hard science of why microplastics are the ultimate internal threat. The primary view is that microplastics are inherent and they just pass through. But the published scientific literature tells a story of profound Systemic toxicity and activity that aids cancer's growth. It's like a Trojan horse. Carcinogenic delivery of microplastics, particularly smaller than 10 microns, are not just plastic particles. They're vectors. Due to the large surface area, they act like super sponges, absorbing and concentrating chemical toxins from the environment, including well known endocrine chemical disruptors like BPA and phylates, as well as heavy metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Once inhaled or ingested, the microplastics cross the intestinal or lung barrier and they travel into the bloodstream silently delivering this concentrated payload deep into the tissue, including the liver, the spleen, the brain. But that's just delivery. Here's how they disrupt healing. For many patients, the engine of cancer is inflammation and genetic mutations and yes, metabolically caused issues. But they have a dual bimodal impact, Both mutational and metabolic. These are toxins that carry into the body and create a perfect storm for malignancies. They create chronic inflammation. These particles trigger low grade relentless systemic inflammatory responses. This leads to high levels of oxidative stress, generation of reactive oxygen species and bombards and damages DNA. As noted in the peer reviewed journal Environmental Science, Microplastics spark oxidative stress and inflammation and genotoxicity, which are the very processes essential for tumor growth, growth, expansion and evasion. Beyond the inflammation, studies strongly suggest that microplastics and their carried toxins that they have can directly interfere with cellular pathways. Research published in 2025 has highlighted that microplastics and nanoparticle plastics disrupt various oncogenic signaling pathways, particularly NF, Kappa Beta and P53, which is our natural apoptosis, where a cancer cell knows that when you get a cell in the body that's cancerous, it goes through apoptosis and self destructs. It mutates this P53. So now cells grow uncontrollably central tumor suppressive genes, thereby facilitating tumor initiation and development. This is a direct pathway to gene mutation and genomic instability. Now that P53 I was talking about is common in many cancers as a pathway that allows for those cancers to grow uncontrollably. But these microplastics complicate these mutations even further. The complications we've seen in our clinical experience is that circulating toxic load from contaminants, from chemicals, heavy metals, toxins. These major sources of chronic disease and canc are inpatient and making it more difficult for them to heal and their immune system to really function properly. But here's the problem just Ask any oncologist about these toxins and you're likely to be laughed out of the room altogether because they're like, what are we going to do about that? Everybody's exposed to plastics, don't bother treating it. We don't know how to treat it. But this is not a conspiracy, it's just scientifically factual that many patients accumulate these toxins in their lifetime. And those with chemical sensitivities, it makes fighting cancer more difficult. Impaired detoxification affects their liver, their kidneys, their lungs, perpetually overloading the body with microplastics. And sometimes you also have heavy metals and chemical toxins. Remember, people don't just have one toxicity, they have many. And chemotherapy itself is another toxin. So now you have all these toxic loads in your body, you have a hard time metabolizing them, meaning you can't eliminate them. You may have some inborn errors of metabolism where you can genetically detoxify. And now you add chemotherapy at maximum therapeutic dose to this, and what do you have? Massive toxicity that leads to a suppression of the immune system. So it's important to really analyze these as causative agents to cancer, because these can lead to drug toxicity, side effects. Treatment not working delays mutation. Your immune system being distracted or downregulated, chronic inflammation. This can dampen your ability to mount an effective anti tumor response, making the difference between success and failure with treatment. No matter what treatment you're selecting, because you have toxins and weakened immunity, no treatment is going to work to its most effective capacity. So this is why microplastics and toxins are important specifically because they also push inflammation. Microplastics might promote cancer by causing chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, stress, DNA damage, really all the above, and disrupting your hormones, creating conditions for tumors to grow. Let's think about how much hormones play a factor in things like breast cancer and ovarian cancer. See, these hormone disruptors can be involved while also carrying toxins that potentially making the cancer cells more aggressive and resistance to treatment like chemotherapy. Though direct causation in humans needs more studies, according to a lot of scientists. Clinically, my opinion is they are a factor. And because they disrupt so much of our body's immunity and inflammat and act as major toxicity. These can push tumors to grow, increase and spread and make treatments less effective. So let's talk about how microplastics might actually cause cancer. I'm going to give you some data here, and we have some mounting evidence to support this. In both cellular and animal studies, the data suggests that microplastics have cancer risk by causing inflammation, DNA damage disruption and hormones. And they carry other toxins with them. So this is all causing a higher risk for things like lung cancer, colon cancer. And scientists have actively been investigating this. Early onset canc cancers that have been increasing in younger people also might have to do with increased toxicity in our world. And microplastics play a big part of that because they can get into our human tissue, very difficult, if impossible, to take out of the body, Indicating that they can be a serious concern for long term health. So science suggests that microplastics pose significant health risks because plastics is all over in the world. If you go to certain parts of europe and you travel abroad, you're drinking only out of plastic bottles most of the time. What you got to realize is we're grappling with political realities, that if you tell the whole world m microplastics are toxin and they're causing cancer, this would cause major problems for big corporations, government agencies. So this is why fda has not come out and said microplastics cause cancer. Because microplastics are in everything. I mean, it's just everywhere. And yes, microplastics do trigger chronic inflammation, and chronic inflammation is a driver to cancer. We know they're involved in DNA damage, which causes cancer, genetic instability, hormonal disruption, all the things we just talked about interfering with the body. We looked at things like breast cancer, ovarian, other hormone related cancer. The microplastics can carry these heavy metals and they can be deliverers of other toxins to the tissue. And they can really mess up the immune system, suppress anti tumor immunity, and allow cancer cells to evade. So this is why we need to clean them out of the body. Because once they accumulate into the tissue, it's almost impossible to eliminate them. And study after study, when you look at it, cancer cells become resistant to chemotherapy on their own. But when you have things like microplastics, heavy metals, chemicals, infections, which are already downregulating your immune system and causing chronic inflammation, it just makes those treatments to work and more resistant because it's just another level of toxicity added to the body. So we want to look at all these things and we want to understand why are groups like the FDA not telling us that these are toxic? Well, because they require more research or more epidemiology studies. And really, frankly, there are major corporations and government agencies tied around this. It'd be almost impossible to eliminate plastics from our environment. So we have to live with it. We're just in the world today. So how do we minimize our microplastic exposures? Let's get to this. Well, stop drinking from plastic bottles and try to away from plastic stuff as much as possible and filter your water. Drink clean water. You can use HEPA filters to clean your air. Try to not wear fabric clothes that are loaded with plastics. Try to get, you know, like cotton and other organic products. If you can wear those, use cookware that's less toxic and maybe has stainless steel and not plastic or plastic coverings in them. So regularly look at these things. Because when you understand that we're just around it all day long, it's really impossible to eliminate 100%. But we want to try to create a solution to reduce the total toxic burden, because that's what I'm really talking about. All these things add up to a total toxic load. And then it's just like you add a drop of water to already full bucket of toxins and it overspills in a sense of immunity and inflammation. So avoidance is impossible. But we can minimize. But there is a technique we use to clean out microplastics to a degree and heavy metals and chemical toxins. And this process is called apheresis. It's a plasma exchange. We use a selective absorption technique. So blood comes out of one end, filters through the machine to clean out these toxins that linked and connected to fats and lipids, where a lot of these toxins are stored. But it not only removes some of the microplastics and heavy metals and sometimes debris from infections as we kill them off in the clinic, but it removes inflammatory signaling which can be contributors to the cause of chronic diseases and cancer. So you have a real dual action here. Apheresis helps to detoxify. And the detoxification is important because we use it in a manner that helps to filter out inflammatory messengers and toxins like microplastics and other waste products from tumor die off. It really makes a difference there because microplastics, plastics can be found in these tissues and very hard to remove. And here we see some removal of it. And once we're done cleaning that out, we help to reset the immune system where we use some of the oxygenating therapies to help the tissue. This is an integrative approach. Often many patients that don't even have cancer that want to use it preventatively will use apheresis to clean their body, oxygenate their body regularly, like maybe annually, every couple of years, till they get their toxic loads down. And then they use tools like exosomes which are similar to stem cells and helping to repair and heal the body. And you'll see that as a biohack, a pretty advanced approach for prevention of disease. But in cancer, the apheresis is used to clean off tumor, die off cytokines, inflammatory signals that can be dangerous to the growth of cancer, and things like microplastics, which are super important to get out of the body because there's really no other way to clean it. There's no diet you can take or supplements or medications that we know of that eliminates microplastics. It takes the ability to take it out of the body. And then the body has an amazing way of regenerating and healing itself. Once we eliminate the toxic burdens that are there now, we can't eliminate them 100%. But by reducing the toxic burden, the microplastic, heavy metals, chemicals, infectious, and the debris from tumor die off. The patient's immune systems respond so much better, and you respond better to therapy. So this is part of the detoxification that goes alongside the treatment of cancer or chronic diseases. So we must recognize that our biggest threat to modern health is often the ones we can't see, the ones that doctors refuse to acknowledge or really don't test for. And your path to healing begins by addressing all environmental toxins along with the cancer itself. So I hope this opens your eyes to the idea that we live in a toxic world and we want to reduce those toxic exposures, and we want to help our bodies respond better.
