Did you know with Dr. Lara, did you know that dog's allergies and cats allergies will get worse as they get older? The way that I typically explain this to people is that it's kind of like in a relationship, when you start off with your. Your boyfriend, your girlfriend, your significant other, whatever, what ends up happening is initially when somebody makes a mistake, they'll be like, hey, babe. And the other one will be like, oh, that's okay. Don't worry. And then, like, four years into the relationship, be like, hey, baby. Like, what did you do? And so we call that hypersensitization. And so the immune system has a similar reaction. That's what we anticipate happens with dogs and cats as they get older, and their allergies seem to change. Instead of happening once a year, it'll happen two or three or four times a year. Instead of only happening for one week, it may happen for six weeks, and the intensity may change as well. So now you know, thanks for watching, and have a blessed day.
