Short excerpt from a YouTube video by Dr. Mark van Rijmenam ("The Future Will Be Magical") reflecting on how sufficiently advanced technology appears as magic (quoting Arthur C. Clarke) and describing a MidJourney-generated image of Clarke imagined in the 22nd century. The speaker expresses curiosity about how Clarke might have reacted and frames current image-generation tools as almost magical.

In a couple of years from now, we'll have a future that seems magical. And to quote another famous author, any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. This is, of course, Arthur C. Clarke, and I used midjourney to create this image of the famous author in the 22nd century. I'm really curious what he would have thought if this technology would have been available when he was alive. I think it's truly almost magical that we can do this nowadays.
