A patient interview (YouTube video) describing personal experience with Sculptra (a collagen-stimulating cosmetic injection). The patient, a spin instructor who maintains a healthy lifestyle and also uses filler/Botox, prefers Sculptra because it induces the body to produce collagen and delivers gradual, lasting facial fullness. She notes results are noticeable over time—especially in photos—found the initial treatment worthwhile, and reports the procedure included effective numbing and icing with minimal discomfort.

I hadn't heard of it, and it was so interesting to me because unlike filler or Botox, which are great, don't get me wrong, I use those too. But what I liked about sculpture is that it has my body producing its own collagen, so it works over time. So it's not something that maybe you notice the next day, but over time, your face stays fuller, more youthful. And so I was like, yeah, I need that. The thing is, I live a very healthy lifestyle. I eat really well and work out regularly. I'm a spin instructor, so I'm a true proponent of health from inside and out. But there's certain things you need for your face that you can't get in the gym, obviously. So, yes, sculpture definitely is something that, as I'm maintaining my body inside and out, I need my face to match. I need my face to stay as healthy and youthful as possible. So, absolutely, sculpture was a good decision for me with all those things in line. Like I said, it's not something that's an overnight. You just wake up the next day. I noticed over time and in pictures especially, I think for most of us, we see our biggest flaws when we see a picture, and we're like, oh, my gosh. Really? The sculpture made my pictures just turn out better without filters, without having to take 15 different ones to get just that right angle. So, obviously, in the aging process, I thought, you know what? It's been a while since I did sculpture. I think it's time to do it again. It was such a worthy investment the first time. Interestingly enough, it wasn't bad at all. They do a great job of numbing you, icing you.
