This is a procedural YouTube video by Dr. Babak Farzaneh demonstrating a Sculptra filler treatment. In the shown excerpt the clinician assesses frontal volume loss (noting temporal hollowness), describes placing Sculptra at the periosteum (on the bone) beneath the cheekbone to support the marionette line, and reports minimal patient discomfort (pressure but no pain). The injection is intended to soften folds, tighten skin, and provide a subtle lift.

So I'm just going to take a look at the frontal view before I always start. I just look to see where the volume loss is. Okay, for yourself. It's right here in this temporal area. In this area here I go. Periosteum, which is right on top of the bone. It's the safest way in order to inject this, we always ask, right. To make sure we're not in any precious cargo areas. And then she should feel. I feel very minimal. I mean, I don't feel much of anything except a little bit of pressure. No pain. So we put a little bit here in order to basically support the marinette line. Now, some people complain in this area when you do it that you can feel like you just head down to work. So basically what I'm doing is right underneath where the cheekbone is, kind of where that drop from the lower part of the face to the cheek. I'm just putting a little bit of sculpture there. So it would just help with softening the progression. It also will tighten the skin and then give her kind of like a higher, tightened, lifted appearance, which would be really nice. So she'll be very happy with that.
