Dr. Babak Farzaneh walks through a PRP facial, also called a vampire facial, at TrueCare Chino Hills. The procedure extracts your blood, spins it in a centrifuge to concentrate platelets, then applies the serum across microneedled skin with topical anesthetic and moisturizer.

Trucare welcomes you to our PRP treatment, also known as platelet rich plasma therapy or a vampire facial.
We begin with a topical anesthetic.
PRP treatment is a non surgical rejuvenation procedure that uses your body's own blood to restore a radiant facial glow. Next is a painless extraction of of your own blood.
Your blood contains added platelets, growth factors and proteins that aid in healing. Next, your blood is placed into a centrifuge in order to spin the plasma out. The PRP is now separated and looks yellow in color. Moist towelettes are used in order to remove the topical anesthetic.
Next, the PRP is extracted into a syringe in order to use for treatment. Before microneedling begins, hyaluronic is applied to the skin for slip and moisture.
Now we begin the microneedling. Microneedling involves puncturing the skin with very fine needles to create microscopic wounds. These wounds then encourage your body to revitalize and renew itself naturally by producing new collagen. The skin is then saturated in prp. The microscopic wounds aid in the penetration of the prp. PRP can also be injected into fine lines in order to diffuse their appearance. We now finish the treatment with moisturizer and sunscreen.
