A short motivational talk by Dr. Kiran Dintyala (aka Dr. Calm) urging listeners to spend 15–20 minutes daily practicing a simple, refined system for mental self-care. He frames the practice as analogous to physical hygiene (brushing teeth, showering) and claims 20 minutes a day can resolve about 90% of common stress problems.

This is years of refining what I learned in more than 15 years I have refined into a simple system that anyone can practice. And I only ask you 20 minutes a day, devote 20 minutes of your day to practice this system and it's going to take care at least 90% of your stress problems. Is it a reasonable thing to ask? 20 minutes a day, Right. Victoria, when you woke up this morning, how much time did you spend brushing your teeth? 5, 10 minutes. And then taking a shower? 15 minutes. And then eating breakfast. Zero. Okay, I understand. And then lunch? An hour today. Okay. And when you go home in the evening, you're going to again eat dinner kind of a little bit, maybe 10, 15 minutes. So most of us spend at least an hour to two just to take care of our physical body, isn't it? So that we can stay alive. Brush your teeth, take a shower, eat food, take 20 minutes to take care of your mind. What happens if you don't brush your teeth for a week? It's going to stink, isn't it? Now, did you ever wonder why so many people's minds stink? Because in a different way, do you know why like so many people are stressed out in our society, right? So many people. Depression, anxiety. That is what I meant. Sting, I don't mean in any derogatory way but just make fun of this situation. But it's because we don't even spend 10, 15 minutes a day to take care of our minds, right? I mean 10, 15 minutes. I'm not asking for much, maybe 20 minutes. If you do half an hour, you're like a saint. So that's the reason our minds think means we are stressed constantly. We are worried about things we don't know how to empty our minds of all the negativity make sense. So I ask you, starting today, now, this moment, make a strong determination, make a decision. Now say, saying that I'm going to spend at least 15 to 20 minutes of my day to take care of my mind and Dr. Dintiala is going to give me something very simple to follow. Nothing crazy, very simple. If you want to do more, I have more. But let's keep it simple, okay?
