Welcome to Dr. Calm's Webinar: Achieving Financial Freedom Through Calmness #drcalm

A recorded webinar by Dr. Kiran Dintiala (Dr. Calm) presenting 'Financial Freedom through Calmness.' The speaker recounts a personal crisis in April 2007 (financial distress, risk of deportation while studying for an MPH) and describes how accessing deep calmness and meditation reversed that situation within three months. He argues calmness is a necessary catalyst for success and happiness and introduces a practical 'happiness formula' (numeric mnemonics 4-2-1 and 3-2-1), a three-step Dr. Calm system (principles, exercises, technique), and a paid program called 'Happiness Therapy' (11 modules, short videos). The chunk includes Q&A examples (residency stress, restlessness metaphor, money vs happiness) and metaphors (moon reflection) used to explain concepts.

All right. Hello everyone. This is Dr. Kiran Dintiala. I'm a physician, author and speaker. Please welcome to the webinar, Financial Freedom through Commerce. So let's get started. Dive into what I really mean by financial freedom through commerce. Years ago. Let's start with the story years ago, back in 2007, I believe. Yes, when I was in deep distress, especially financial distress, I did not know what exactly to do. I was in debt thousands of dollars. I was doing my master's in public health and I was at the verge of career failure. My mind was going crazy, stressed out, started looking for answers. I couldn't find any answers. Reading books, talking to people, friends, family members. If I don't solve that problem at the time, I probably would be deported from United States back to India. I will lose my visa. And when I go back, I was afraid that my friends, my colleagues, they are going to laugh at me. I was at two years in the United States, came here thinking that I'm going to study medicine here, do post graduation. So in the midst of all that, I solved the problem through the power of conduct. So. And that power of calmness has brought many miracles in my life in just a matter of three months. And what was impossible became possible. Failure became success. Misery turned into happiness. And I realized at the time, calmness is the missing ingredient for success and happiness in life. Calmness is the catalyst for success, especially when you combine it with hard work and determination. And this kind of experience repeated again and again in my life. No matter what situation that I get into, when I find calmness, I find solutions. And the reason why I'm doing this topic, financial freedom through calmness at this juncture is because there are so many people out there right now struggling financially. Many lost their jobs because of recession and because of inflation. The prices are so high. And even those people who have job, they are struggling when they are struggling financially. So how can you use the power of calmness to make more money, to find more success, and yet not lose your happiness, not lose the balance in life. That is what we will discuss today. So let me now give a little bit more detail about that story back in 2007, which changed my life and what I discovered and what you can discover will probably recreate your life. So on the day in April 2007, when I was hit by bad news and everything was going crazy, my mind was restless, stressed out, felt like a failure, all negativity enveloping me. And after trying everything else which didn't work out, and I was looking Online quickly, you know, suddenly remembered, oh, there is a professor that teaches something about stress management, how to become. And she's there in that university at that point of time, okay, let me just go find her. So I immediately ran there. Yeah, literally ran, because I didn't have a car. I was living in a small apartment, sharing the room with three other friends. So I ran to my professor, I mean, my professor, because I did not really know her at the time, to that professor. And then it's around 2:50pm in the afternoon, and I knocked on the door, Someone came and opened the door and I quickly blurted out, hey, this problem, I think I'm going crazy. I don't know what to do. And I came here for help and the assistant asked me to sit down and went in and called the professor. Her name is Judith Suchman, an amazing woman, very knowledgeable, great soul. And she looked at me and said, hey, everything will be all right, just calm down. And was like, how can I calm down? I don't know, you know, I just know how to calm down. And was expecting her to hold my hand, sit with me for the next half an hour, explaining me, counseling me and solve my problem. But instead of that, she said, I have a class I teach in a few minutes. I gotta go, I'm sorry, we'll talk again. And I was very disappointed. And then she said, I'll give you some reading material. And here is an audio cd. Just listen to it and we'll talk again. So having nowhere to go, I took the material. One second. There's a light problem here. Yeah, should be better. So I took that material. And then I dragged myself back to my apartment. Half an hour walk back. With a sigh, I sat in one corner of my room and opened the reading material. I couldn't really focus. My mind was so restless, the thoughts I could barely read make sense of anything. I said, okay, at least let me try to listen to the cd. So I borrowed a CD player from my roommate and then put the headphones and I started listening five minutes down the lane somewhere. I started feeling peaceful, like there is this deep peace. Said, how is it possible none of the things change around me? My circumstances are still the same. How can I feel peaceful as if someone has vacuumed out all the negative thoughts out of my head? As if someone pushed brakes on a Ferrari that is running at million miles per second and came to a certain halt. There's this deep void with him. And they said, well, it's okay, I'm feeling good, so I'll Continue. So I continue to listen to the audio. And then five minutes more, I started feeling joyful, said, wait, wait, wait, wait. I can't be feeling joyful. Everything is going crazy around me. How can I feel joyful? I think this is totally insane. Immediately I took the headphones and put it away because I was afraid I was going crazy. And then I quickly ran to the phone there and called my professor. By the time, I think he was done with the class. And they asked, hey, is what is happening to me? Do you think getting crazy? She laughed at me. And she said, no, no, you're fine. You just accessed your innate health, your inner peace, your inner joy. And when you feel that this how it feels, you will be happy no matter what your circumstances are. And I felt so relieved, thanked her. And then I started thinking, wow, this is powerful. When no bad thing happening around you, when your circumstances are dire, when everything is falling apart and you can still feel at peace, joy, this is powerful. So I need to learn more about it. So I started exploring more in depth. And at the same time, there was a friend who was a student at the institute where I was studying. I was studying Masters in Public Health at the time. And she came to know about my situation. And then she gave me a book on meditation. And prior to that I never meditated, maybe once. And I failed miserably, so I never tried again. But when she gave that book, you know, I said, okay, you know what, I want to try. Because I was so worried. My circumstance was so dire that I was ready to do almost anything. So I started meditating. That was my first meditation, really honestly. And I sat there, I know, still remembers like around 8pm at night, leaning against the wall, read the book for 15 minutes and then started practicing the technique. And like 10 minutes later, I started feeling calm. Something changed, you know, at that time I couldn't even recognize. Now I'm putting words to it. But at the time I didn't know what exactly I was feeling. All I've been saying is I felt calm, relaxed, the restless thought subsided. I said, wow, this is great. And something interesting happened. Next day I went to the Department of Public Health as usual, you know, trying to get things done. And everything I felt started flowing easier than usual. People would be nicer to me, kinder to me. And this continued for the next few days. And I said, wow, this is amazing. Somehow things started getting better. And the only thing that changed at the time was I was calmer than usual. And then I said, ah, this sounds too mystical. You Know, and probably it has nothing to do. The meditation or the inner peace has nothing to do with outer circumstances. So I stopped meditating, I stopped practicing what I was practicing. And I started becoming restless again. And within a few days, things started turning bad again. It seems there's some kind of connection here. And then again I started practicing the calmness, deep calmness. And as I continue to do that, and as I continue to not give up, did my hard work, with determination, whatever that I wanted to achieve at the time, as I continue to do that, within three months, everything changed. I was purely following my inner guidance. There is this intuitive feeling about, okay, what to do next, where to go, how to look for opportunities. Okay, my intellect, my busy mind would say something else, but my intuition, my gut feeling would say something else. But I started following my gut. And every single time, it has led me to the right destination, right place, right opportunity. And in three months, I reversed the bad situation. I found what I want at the time in my life. My finances got better. In fact, so better that I'm a doctor, I'm doing very well. It led to a career as an author, speaker, physician, many other facets in life that I probably wouldn't be able to achieve if. If I did not have that experience at the time, if I did not find calmness at the time. And everyone at the time started asking, how did you do it? Normally, it is not possible for you to succeed in this situation for at least another year or two. How did you turn the tables in three months? Everyone was ecstatic, My friends, my family members. And the answer is calmness, the power of calmness. And that was not the only time, time and again, in my life, I found it to be true. And not only in my life. In the past 15 years, as I have been teaching this, whether it's to friends, families, patients, clients, seminars, webinars, people who follow this, who find comms, they find opportunities, they find happiness, they get better financially. And I want you to have the same. You see, a lot of people work very hard, good people, nice people, they mean very well, and yet they don't get the success that they deserve. And you know why? They're missing this important ingredient. And that important ingredient is commerce. Calmness. And once you add that to the recipe of success, you will find it much faster. You'll find much better things in life. So are you ready to explore this new territory of calmness? And when I say calmness, it is not simply being superficially calm, acting to become. No, finding the deep calmness Within. And what I mean by that, Normally most people minds are restless. Thinking this, thinking that, this, that. Distracted, worried, upset, fearful. All these restless thoughts make them stressed, they make mistakes, they fail to see opportunities. And they read failure instead of that. When your mind is totally free of any restlessness, when you are totally centered, calm, find that zone within you. When you're there, there is such clarity in your mind and you very clearly see what needs to be done. You'll find new opportunities. That kind of calmness is what I'm talking about. And how do you accomplish it? Using years of my experience, more than 15 years of teaching, treating, helping, speaking. Valuable insights from all walks of life. As a doctor, as a public health professional, as a person, as a human being, as a yoga practitioner. All those things are brought together into one simple formula. What I call the happiness formula. And as a part of that formula There is a three step system which I call Dr. Calm system for stress triggering. And when you practice this system, simple system, easy to practice. When you do it, you find this commas. So now I am going to keep quiet and see if anyone has questions. If so, I am ready to answer them. Let us see here. Yeah, someone is asking, what is this happiness formula? Well, are you ready for it? Okay. 421-321-4213 to 1. 4 stands for four forces that pull you out of despair. No matter what situation you are in, no matter how hopeless you feel, how desperate you feel, you can come out of it. These four forces will pull you out. Two stands for two pillars that are the foundation for lasting peace and joy. You know, once you come out of the tunnel of despair, once you come out of the pit of misery, what I call using the four forces. The next step is to really build a lasting foundation of peace and joy. And these two pillars will help you do that. And the key word here is lasting, not temporary, lasting. And one stands for a simple understanding that dissolves stress as if it never existed. You like? Oh, stress is an illusion. I'm unnecessarily stressed out all this time. In a moment you can come to the realization. If you truly understand these teachings. You're like, you're worry free, totally. Just like I was when I had an experience. And you'll find a deep calm within. So 4, 2, 1. Now the next part is 32 1. 3 stands for three powerful principles. 2 stands for two relaxation exercises. 1 stands for a calming technique. And when you practice that, you'll find a deep calmness. And all I say is spend 15 to 20 minutes a day. That is what all is needed. Of course, if you do more, that's even better. But if you spend 15 to 20 minutes a day using this system, applying the system to your life, most of the stress can be dissolved. I'll give a example. Metaphor. So you wake up in the morning, you brush your teeth every day, right? What happens if you don't brush your teeth for two days? False mother a week. Oh my goodness. Even you can stand yourself, right? People will run away from you. Why? Because the plaque accumulates in foul smelling. Now let me ask you a question. Do you brush your mind every day? Do you know that negativity accumulates in your mind every single day? And if you don't brush it away, you don't empty your mind of negativity. It keeps accumulating like the plaque that builds on your teeth. And then soon your mind is going to become false smelling. That's the reason a lot of people are stressed out. As a false feeling full of negativity. Since you're one, probably you never brush your mind. Most of us, because no one teaches us these things. And that's the reason so many people are stressed out. Mentally ill, depressed, hopeless, fearful, worrisome, not all those bad emotions. But if you take 15 to 20 minutes a day to maintain your mind, automatically you'll be happy. Stress cannot do anything to you. And that's the kind of stress, resistance, resilience that I want you to develop. And that is what this happiness formula window. Okay, let's see if there are any other questions here. Someone is asking how to handle stress while they are applying for residency. Residency is something very specific. This is probably a doctor who's asking this question. Residency is something very specific for doctors who have finished their undergraduation like med school and they write exams and then they are, they want to do post graduation what is called residency. And that period is very, very, very, very, very stressful. So how do you handle that stress? Okay, I think. Who has that question? Sri Hershini. Okay, got it. So like I just mentioned, Sri Harshni, if you practice calmness, empty your mind of negativity, that is going to give you the focus necessary to accomplish what you need. That is the core thing. Actually taking 15 to 20 minutes a day to calm your mind, you will regain focus. And you can use that focus to go after whatever that you need. You have to consider calmness as essential as eating food, drinking water, brush your teeth, taking shower. So integrate calmness into your life every day. So now the question is, where do you Find calmness. The question is, how do you find that calmness? I created a program called Happiness Therapy. It has all the details necessary, top to bottom modules. It was divided into 11 modules. Each module has four or five videos. And each video is approximately two to three minutes, some little longer. So it's very easy to understand, assimilate, and apply to your life. So if you do this, you will find comments. Okay, there's another question here. Can you explain a little bit more about restlessness versus commerce? Can you give me an example, a metaphor? Sure. So imagine you're seeing moon in the sky. Full moon day. Okay. Beautiful. Now you're seeing the reflection of the moon in a lake in front of you. And the lake is totally still. So the image of the moon, you can see it very clearly now. Someone threw a stone into that lake, and now there are ripples. The water is restless, agitated. And in those agitated waters now you can see moon clearly. The image of moon is distorted. The same way in your mind. When thoughts are agitated, restless, you don't see things clearly. And sometimes the opportunity is right in front of you, but you don't notice it, and so you don't grab it. Once the restless waters in the lake settle, like you see the image of moon clearly, again, the same way one of the restless thoughts in your mind settle, you regain clarity. That is the reason it is so important to practice calmness. All right, let me see if there are any other questions. Okay, one more question. Here is how is money and happiness related? Well, the answer is pretty simple. Money has nothing to do with happiness. Yeah, that is a drastic cancer. I know, but money has nothing to do with happiness. Take for my example and many other people that I know, they say that, oh, when they are studying, when they're in college, when they are barely making a few hundred dollars, they're very happy. And then later, they got a good job, they got married, nice car, big home. Now they are making hundreds of thousands of dollars, and they're very miserable. Unhappy. Why is that? If money and happiness are directly proportional, then everyone who is rich should be happy. But we know that there are many rich people who are very miserable. There are many celebrities who committed suicides. There are pop stars who are depressed, bipolar disorder, many other problems. So if success, richness, money is supposed to bring you happiness, all the millionaires and billionaires must be absolutely happy. And they are not. You see, it is a misnomer. There is a misconception in people's minds that, oh, if I go succeed, get that I'll be happy. If I make more money, I'll be more happy. No, no. Now you may ask me, are you asking me to be poor? Are you asking me to not make money? No, that is not what I'm saying. Poverty is not related. Yet I know many poor people who barely meet their basic requirements are perfectly happy. I'll tell you a story. In the midst of COVID I had my gardener who came in, I think it was March of that year when covet started. Right after the pandemic hit us. All the roads are empty, no one is up there. And this guy came to help the garden and stood from each other at a distance wearing masks. And then I asked him, how are you doing? And he said, I'm all right, smilingly, no problems. And I was thinking, how can this guy say that he's a daily liver, he needs to make money to survive, you know, for himself or his family. And everything is shut down. And I'm sure his business went down. He was not making any money. You see, despite that, he had the positive mental attitude, was able to smile and say, it's all right, everything's okay, things will be all right. And I have seen not only in that person, but many of my patients in my encounters with them. One of them had cancer. And I gave her the diagnosis and she was perfectly poised. Okay, doctor, that's fine. All right. And I said, hey, look, do you understand what I'm saying? You got cancer and it's stage four. We have metastasis, means you have cancer all over the body. How can you say I'm all right? And then she said, what can I do? You want me to cry? You want to become fearful? You want to become worried? No. Whatever has to happen will happen. And that was very inspiring. If a person who is stage four cancer and who is most likely going to die maybe in a few months, maybe a year, if they can remain calm and positive, then we all can remain calm and positive. A lot of this crap is created in our head. We create these thoughts in our mind. We worry about the future that is not yet here. We bring back past from somewhere and keep worrying about it. But past is a memory that doesn't exist. Past is a memory. It doesn't exist except if you think about it, if you bring it back to the present. Future is a figment of imagination. It's not yet here, but reimagine a fearful future. Oh, what is going to happen to my son? Is he going to become a doctor? And he's only two years or Three years old. Now I know people like that. Oh, what is going to happen to my carrier? I don't know what's going to happen six months from now, one year from now. You don't know? Yes, I don't know either. But if you keep thinking a fearful future, you will create it. Then why think negative? Stay in the moment, focus here, be calm, plan, do what you need to do. So get rid of all the restlessness, stay centered and you'll be alright. Let me see, any more questions here? All right, so there is a story, probably I think I need to share. And then we will conclude our session today. And this is a story about true happiness. Where can you find it? Once there was a king. The king was a nice king. He wanted all the people in his kingdom to be happy. So he had so much money in his treasury, he decided that he's going to distribute most of it to the people in the kingdom. And now, after a few months, he goes in disguise to see how the people of his kingdom are doing. And to his surprise, despite them all having the money, all that they need, many of them are still miserable. They're complaining, they're worried, unhappy. And the king is like totally perplexed. What the heck? I spend more than half of my treasury to give away to see these people still unhappy. I can't understand this phenomenon. So he goes back, you know, to his court and then ask his ministers, what do you think? Different people give different explanations, but they don't make sense to him. He was not satisfied. So then he goes around in his kingdom, to the far ends, in disguise, trying to find answers. And none could answer his question. Satisfaction. And then finally, when he was almost ready.
