Dr. Brandt rates common facial procedures. Skip brow lifts (often overdone), buckle fat removal (you may need that fat later), and radiofrequency microneedling (causes fat loss). Chin implants and deep plane facelifts are worth it.
Dr. Brandt, love it or leave it facial procedures.
Okay.
Buckle fat pad removal.
Buckle fat pad, leave it. Gah, leave it. Too many problems. You need that fat when you're later in life, you're gonna pay me to put more fat back in.
Chin implant.
Love it. Great. Permanent. Why get chin filler? You get an implant and it's a tiny little incision. Nobody ever sees it. And it looks even better than chin filler.
Skin pinch.
Leave it. We've gone away from that because of the scarring. You're better off with a CO2 laser unless you have a lot of skin.
Brow lift.
Brow lifts, leave it. They're overdone. Most of the time you don't need a brow lift.
Deep plane facelifts.
Love it. It's the way to go. You keep all the subcutaneous tissue attached to the tissues, the SMAS layer. It all gets moved kind of in a composite kind of way, and it's just a better way to do a facelift. That's my recommendation.
Radiofrequency microneedling.
Leave it. It's causing some fat loss in people's faces.
Lower facelift.
Leave it. Might as well just do the whole facelift and neck lift.
