Layla Taylor Is Fixing Her Implants

In this video, Layla Taylor, a 24‑year‑old mother of two and cast member of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, shares why she is seeking a breast implant revision. She explains that her current implants feel too large for her band size, causing clothing fit problems and a loss of confidence over the past year. She mentions a friend, McKayla, who had an explant performed by Dr. Daniel Barrett and spoke highly of his work, reinforcing Layla’s trust in him. Layla expresses excitement about achieving a fresher, more fitted look that aligns with her body, hoping to feel confident again. Dr. Barrett greets her warmly, establishing a friendly, supportive pre‑operative atmosphere.

Hi, I'm Leila from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. You deserve to treat yourself and you deserve to feel confident in your body. I feel like this is me kind of reclaiming my confidence. Hi, I'm Leila from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and I've been thinking about getting my boobs redone for honestly since I got them done. I just wanted kind of a fresher look, more fitted to my body, and I knew that Dr. Barrett would do just that. McKayla from my cast came here too and got an explant. She said, nothing but great things about Dr. Barrett. So I'm a mom of 2 kids, but I'm only 24, so I feel like this is me kind of reclaiming my confidence. I feel like my boobs have kind of made me unconfident the last year having them because I just feel like they're a lot. I feel like I have a really small band size, but right now my cup size is way too big for my band size, so nothing ever fits right, and it's so annoying. So I'm excited to not fall out of every single top I'm wearing, and yeah, I just feel more confident.
Ready? Let's go. How you doing? Good. Give me a hug. You ready for today?
I'm so excited.
Yeah, me too. So your implants are down here. Yeah, they're high profile, so we got to get them up here and reinforce that pocket. So like, you right now have a king-size pillowcase, we need to make like a twin-size pillowcase. Okay, and so I do that with suture repair and also mesh inside, Galaflex mesh, it's absorbable. Okay, and then once I get that foundation right, then we bring the rest of the breast up so that it sits up where it's supposed to, the nipple position, everything's good. And then we can even revise some of the scars there. All right, so our plan is we're going to remove the high-profile implant that's fallen off her chest, replace it with a moderate profile implant. We're going to move it back up to where it needs to go. See how she doesn't have any of the fullness up here? So we're going to bring that fullness back up, reinforce it. We're going to use mesh. It's an absorbable mesh. And then we're going to do a lollipop breast lift to bring everything back up. So stay tuned. So we've just downsized it to 250 and we did the pocket repair. So you can see, like, it's not the size of the implant that causes this, it's the pocket position, uh, that controls that upper fold. And it looks much better now. Too big and too droopy. How do you fix this? We did downsizing of her implants. Not only downsizing, we took down the profile, right? These are moderate plus, we went down to moderate. All right, more moderate and better stability is going to have in the pocket. So we went inside, we did a coagulation tightening. You can tell by this photo This is not a good look, right? So we went inside, we fixed the base, the implant base first. We did a pocket repair, double pocket repair using Galaflex mesh. This is a nice touch, right? Gives us a nice little reinforcement, absorbable mesh to secure that just like a hammock on the inside. And then we converted her from an anchor scar lift, right, to a lollipop lift, right? So incision around the areola line going down and wedged out the breast tissue to bring it up and have stability. That's the important difference between a lollipop lift. In addition to the less scarring is that you use the breast tissue to bring it back up. You get that nice perky appearance. All right. So this is her goal photos. I think we're going to match that. She's going to have a nice result. Results take about 6 weeks for them to drop and settle, and she'll be back to doing what she wants to do in no time because we use that long-acting pain medication called Exarel.
