Mentor just released breast implants up to 1400 cc, breaking the industry record. The presenter shows a 1240 cc implant and explains these extreme sizes are mainly for post-mastectomy reconstruction in larger patients, not typical cosmetic surgery. They wouldn't use them in their own practice.
The record has been broken for the largest size implant. This is the new largest size implant. Uh, actually it's not even though it's the second to largest. You can get now up to 1400 cc from Mentor. This one is 1240, you guys. What these are typically designed for is more breast reconstruction, right? So somebody's had mastectomy and obviously a bigger person. Compare that to 140 cc implant, you'd have to make a special case to actually use one of these responsibly. Definitely not in my practice, but for those of you who are interested, they're out there. But let me know in the comments, how big is too big? How many cc have you had?
