Dr. Katie To describes using cosmetic bonding to replace a congenitally missing front tooth without surgery or damaging adjacent teeth. The reversible procedure gives immediate results, avoids the permanent commitment of a bridge, and keeps future options like implants open.

She was actually always congenitally missing that tooth. We actually did a test drive with a patient that was also missing a front tooth today on the other side. But in this case, and then came to us, and in this case, we designed the smile for her and we only did the front teeth area. So we can actually accomplish putting a tooth back in there with cosmetic bonding. And that's really awesome because it means that she doesn't have to take anything in and out. We don't have to cut down the two teeth structures just to place a bridge in. And this is again reversible because it's cosmetic bonding. We're adding to tooth. We're not taking any natural tooth structure away. She's gonna have all her natural teeth underneath there. And when she gets older, when she's ready to either do an implant, who knows by then, maybe teeth can be regrown back. They're in the trials for that right now. And this is something that will give her that confidence, let her go through school with that smile and not have to worry about something that can fall off or break or cutting natural tooth structure. And this is gonna last for years to come.
