Dr. John A. King defines success as the passionate pursuit of a worthwhile goal, not material gain. He argues that lasting values can't be bought, and that purpose, mindset, and the people you surround yourself with determine whether you actually achieve what matters.

How do you define success? Is it money, a certain amount of money? Is it a way you look? Is it a facelift? Is it a certain amount of weight that you might lose? You see, all of those are tangible, but they're movable, they're shakable, and they're really ethereal. They, they really don't mean anything when you break it down. Here's a definition that that I've come to appreciate, accept, and hold as my own. That success is the passionate pursuit of a worthwhile goal. It's an overarching force in your life. Your purpose, your vision, your desire is the thing that drives you. Now, along the way, you'll need money to get there. You'll want your life expectancy to be able to keep up with your destiny. But the overarching push for your life is this desire and hunger to do something worthwhile with it. Success is the passionate pursuit of worthwhile goals. You see, there is no secret to success. It's in how we think, how we talk, what we believe, the friends we associate ourselves with. Now, I know it all sounds Again, like I said last time, a little bit of an infomercial, but it's not. I've been caught up in the cycle of you've got to have this. Credit cards, you know, we spend money we don't have on things we don't want to impress people we don't really like anyway. But, but why and how did that ever become— these material things become how we rate our life and what we do? Now you think about it. Anything of any value you can't pay for. Anything that you can pay for with money can be replaced with more money. It's those things that you cannot buy that are irreplaceable. Success, the passionate pursuit of a worthwhile goal. Look forward to training with you in the coming weeks. Thank you, Dr. John.
