I'm sitting here with Ned. We're at home in Ned's home office. As you've come to know, we've been doing some filming for an upcoming book called One Shot, which will go on a journey, my attempt to make a national title in bodybuilding in the next 2 years. Turned 50, and this is the goal that I've set myself for that period of time. So, mate, we started a conversation today about diet. Yes. And you just mentioned previously that you believe diet is 80% of what you need to do when you're getting ready for a competition. You've got me on a particular diet at the moment. Why do you have me on this Phase 1 diet?
Well, you know, this is our offseason diet, as I call it. This is a diet that we're trying to put some weight on you right now, and not a bad weight. We're not talking about getting just a bunch of weight on you fat. We want to put some good muscle, trying to gain as minimum As little fat as we can. You know, when you're trying to bulk up or gain weight and put muscle on, in the process, because you're eating a lot of calories, you know, you're eating a lot of food, unfortunately you are going to put some fat. But what we're trying to do is just gain weight and gain as little as possible fat. So the Phase 1 diet is particularly made for you to gain muscle at this point.
Yep.
So, and then once we're done with that phase 1 diet, there's a phase 2, phase 3. So there's different phases that we're going through in the process of building your body. Yup. So it's not, you know, when we talk about bodybuilding, building a body, you know, there's more things than just eating. So there's obviously, there's a workout plan that's going to follow the diet plan. So book your workout plan. So everything that we do has a purpose. Good.
