Dr. Kristilynn Turney led a role-playing exercise where school staff acted as parents, students, teachers, and administrators. The exercise showed how each group faces different pressures while trying to support a child's development, building empathy across the school community.

I really enjoyed Dr. Turney being here today. What I especially enjoyed was the role-playing that she had our staff do, where each staff member acted as a parent, a student, an administrator, and just hearing the interaction between staff members acting as a student or as a teacher, as a parent. I think it helps us make us think a little bit more about each of those people and what they're dealing with in terms of the child overall, whether it be a teacher dealing with the student, whether it be a parent. who's trying to help a student, or administrator trying to assist a teacher. There's just a lot that goes into the all-around development of a school and what they, you know, what our staff's dealing with, what our students are dealing with, and certainly what our parents are. So just that overall picture really made me think about each of those roles, created a good picture for me, and I really enjoyed that process.
