Eat the frog is a term that was made up by Brian Tracy, a very inspirational motivational speaker. You should check out his books. The concept is about, if you had to eat a frog, it would be the worst thing that you'd have to do all day, right? So he says you should eat the frog first thing in the morning, then the rest of your day will be good. Nothing else is going to be as difficult as that. It's about avoiding procrastination. A lot of the time when we know we have a difficult task or challenge, we put it off, we make excuses, we tolerate around it a bit to make sure, sure that we are dreading it. And we sort of stay in that space of not doing the task and putting it in our minds. Like, I have to do it, I have to do it, I don't want to do it. Oh my gosh, I have to do it. And you put it off and off and it really disorganises your energy for the day. So the concept of eat the frog is really important and can really be helpful if you always put your tasks in order of priority. Do the most important thing for the day first. No matter how difficult it is, eat the frog and then the rest of your day will flow much smoother. It's really important when you're planning to prioritize things so that something that's going to have the greatest effect on your life is the priority for the day. We tend to fill up our day with all the nonsense, small, small errands, instead of doing the most important thing first just because it's more difficult. It might require more time or more focus or more courage to get it done. But if you wake up in the morning and that's the first thing that you tick off, the rest of the day is going to be smooth.
