High performance work culture comes when you appreciate people. It's not institutions that hire people, it's people who hire people. It's not organizations that hire other organizations to do work with them. It's the connection of person to person. So to have a high performance work culture, I think it's important to treat people like human beings. Understand their purpose, show them why they're doing what they're doing. It's important to have transparency within an organization, to make sure everybody is involved and motivated and appreciated for what they're doing. For the company and organization, it's about understanding other human beings and connecting. Whether you have 100 staff or just five staff, it's important to know people, their strengths, their weaknesses, who they are. Treat everyone in a respectful way and make sure that everyone feels like a valued member of the team. Whatever their role is, whether it's the person cleaning the building or it's the head of finance, you need to be able to understand them and make sure that they know what they are doing and they feel like they're adding value and worth to the organization. And that's how you keep people highly motivated.
