A single-speaker motivational monologue urging listeners to evaluate what they are willing to give up now to build their desired future. The speaker uses personal examples (a strictly vegan brother, trade-offs between treats and other habits) to illustrate choosing sustainable sacrifices and finding balance between short-term pleasures and long-term health and goals.

Sacrifice. Sacrifice is important because you either have to sacrifice something now for something you want, or the thing that you want is what you are sacrificing. That's the truth. So you have to assess what you're willing to let go, what you're willing to suffer through, what you're willing to sacrifice from your current life to make space for something new, to build your dream life. A lot of people give up so many kinds of things. One of my brothers is a vegan, so he doesn't eat meat, he doesn't have anything with dairy. He's very, very strict. He won't eat birthday cake, he won't eat ice cream. It doesn't matter what the occasion is. And so some people are like, you can't live like that, you can't suffer like that. Life is too short. You have to enjoy your meat, you have to drink your alcohol, you have to have sugar in your tea. Why would you suffer? So it's about making that assessment. If you're someone who really, really loves ice cream, but you know that all the bad things that you eat are not good for you, sacrifice something else. Say I won't have alcohol and I won't eat meat at all so that once a week I can eat ice cream and I don't feel guilty about it. It doesn't have a hu. Negative effect on my life. But if you're drinking, you're smoking, you're eating red meat, you're having all the sugar, all the processed flour, you know what you're doing to yourself, you're not willing to sacrifice those things in your life. So what you're sacrificing is a healthy body, a healthy you are you who feels fit and ready and can climb up the stairs and not be and coughing all the time in meetings. We all know that person. I'm just saying it's a sacrifice you have to be willing to make. So you have to find the balance that you are comfortable with. What can you sacrifice today so that you have something you want tomorrow?
