What we don't want are those months that go up, down, up, down, because there's an inconsistency in the number and the volume of new patients. And for, you know, for a deeper dive on this type of training, please visit chiropracticconsulting.co. There's 12— At that link? website, there's a cost to name and email, but it's the 12 Ways to Bulletproof Your Practice in 2019. It's marketing, it's systems, it's all kinds of stuff. So go check that out. But today, so we're talking about creating a marketing calendar that is going to allow you to, you know, hit your goals in terms of revenue and new patients, make a bigger impact on your community. Help more people, and I always like you know very simple. You know in terms of practice, more patients, more money, more freedom, right? Super simple. So in fact, I'm I'm just about to start a book called The Practice Accelerator, and that's the tagline: step by step process for. More patients, more money, and more freedom, because that's what we all want, right? We want to help more people. That's why we became chiropractors. That's why we got into the healthcare field. So we wanna help more people. Once we got into practice, we realized that, whoa, you know, like this is, we actually have to run a business. Like we don't just open our doors and all these people show up. No, we actually have to talk about and develop skills and reach out to people to let them know. We do. So, and one of the core fundamentals of this whole process is creating a marketing calendar that is going to give you some stability in your practice, right? So, So number one, what we want to do is First of all, focus on first quarter, 90 days. You know, that's where we're going to put most of our energy right now. But what I would recommend is, hey, set your target goal of 12 months. I mean, 12 months is a good timeframe for creating goals because It's enough time to really accomplish something significant, but it's far enough out, or I mean, it's close enough so that we can kind of almost touch it, right? When we make like 3 or 5-year goals, it seems so far out there, it's almost not real, right? We want our, you know, we want our goals to feel real. So, So that's the first thing, right? You have your marketing calendar and we're in January 2019 and just set a goal. Hey, where do I want to be in terms of revenue and new patients by the end of 2019? Super simple. You know, is it $50,000 a month? Is it $150,000? Like whatever it is. And so, and then we're just going to work backwards, right? So say your goal is to go to $100,000 a month in revenue. And say you're at, you know, say you're at $50,000. Wait, let's try to use easier numbers. Take $40,000 in revenue. You want to get to $80,000 in revenue right by the end of the year. You know, by the end of the 3rd quarter, you know, you need to add an additional $30,000 in revenue. By the end of the 2nd quarter, you need to add an additional $20,000 in revenue. And by the end of the First quarter, you need to be at an additional ten grand in revenue. Does that make sense? Right. So you're at four grand a month in terms of revenue starting 2019. You want to be at eighty thousand a month by the end of 2019. Right. So by the end of the first quarter, you need to add ten thousand in revenue. So you're at fifty thousand a month in revenue because you start at forty. Okay. So we're all on the same page here, right? What do you have to do? To get that additional $10,000 in revenue? How many new patients does that equal, right? How many more visits does that equal? So you gotta look at your stats and figure out, hey, what, you know, in terms of, um, you know, new patients, visits, you know, what's your average collection per visit? Figure out all these things, um, and so that you can then— Right. So you know Right. Okay, this is the marketing I have to do in order to get those additional new patients and to get that additional revenue. That— this is what I need to do. And then you start laying it out and you look at 2018, what worked in 2018, and then lay it on your calendar, right? And so you lay it on a calendar, say, okay, we did Facebook ads, we did, you know, newspaper inserts, we did a community event, we had a patient appreciation event. And, you know, that's what you did in quarter 1 of 2018 that worked. Put that up on 2019, and based on that, is that gonna get you to your goal? And if not, it most likely won't, then you start adding stuff. Okay, what else can I add in the first quarter to add an additional $10,000 in revenue so I can hit my goal of $80,000 by the end of the year? Does that make sense? So what we wanna do, we just wanna hit our— we wanna create a target goal. And work backwards so that we can know that we're on track and, and, and plan properly. Because when we create a marketing calendar and sit down, we take the time to work on our business. One, logistically, we actually are, you know, Is going to help us achieve our goals. 2, from a mindset, you know, from, from, you know, a mindset standpoint, it, it, it helps to strategically look at your practice. You actually get kind of smarter, right? Because you're thinking, hey, you know, you're thinking like a business owner, you're planning ahead. Like if you look at Target, right, the store, Target, like they will have, say it's January 2019 for Target. They know what they're going to be doing in the spring in terms of promotions. They knew, they know what they're going to be doing in summer in terms of promotions and goals and all that type of stuff. They know what they're going to be doing in the winter of 2019. They know what they're going to do in the first quarter of 2020. And they know what they're gonna be doing in second quarter of 2020, and they probably know what they're gonna be doing in the summer of 2020. So what we wanna do as small business owners, as chiropractic practice owners, we wanna look at what successful businesses are doing and realize that we're no different. Why is a chiropractic practice any different than a store like Target? It's not, on a fundamental level. Right? You're serving people, you have a product or service to sell, and you need to get people that want that product or service into your office or in your store. So when we, when we're talking about planning and marketing, it's just fundamentals. It's fundamentals of business that maybe it's not super sexy, but it sure is kind of nice to go to Starbucks and take an hour or 2 hours to yourself, or on the weekend, get away from the family. Goodness gracious, go rent a hotel room somewhere nice. Hey, this is my time to just focus on my business. I mean, look at 2019, how I can hit my goals. First thing, identify what my goals are. I'm gonna write out my calendar. This is what I wanna do. But you take that time for yourself, for your business, for your practice, and plan it out, right? So, you know, for more like this, if this is valuable to you, if this makes sense to you, Check out chiropracticconsulting.co. That is a deep dive into 12 ways to improve your practice in 2019. So that's it for today. This was your marketing calendar, planning your marketing calendar. So I highly recommend Hey, take some time, you know, at the bare minimum, take a few hours on Saturday, this Saturday, and grab a calendar from, you know, Target or the drugstore or whatever. Sit down and look at your year, you know, what are your goals? Where do you wanna be at the end of 2019? Work backwards, put everything that's worked in 2018 onto your calendar. Hey, this is what we did in terms of marketing. Are you gonna hit your goal if you keep doing that? Great. If you don't, start adding stuff in. You know, there's tons of information out there in terms of resources and what you can do in terms of marketing. You know, so there's no, there's no lack of information there. It, you know, if anything, it's a lack of time and it's a lack of really knowing which to do right. You know, which to do first, which actually works in a practice right now. So, you know, obviously that's what I do. I help chiropractors grow practices. And look, again, if you're interested, I always— hey, if you're looking for more information and ways to grow your practice, check out chiropracticconsulting.co. Start there. Go ahead and implement that ASAP, and we'll talk to you tomorrow. We'll have another— I don't know what I'm going to talk about tomorrow, but it'll be something regarding practice building. And that's focused on, you know, either practice building, so marketing systems, or mindset, right? So mindset, you know, how do we take care of ourselves? How do we improve ourselves personally? Marketing, because I think that that drives everything. And then systems, and that makes everything run properly so that you get an excellent clinical outcome and patient experience. And if I look at, you know, I work with doctors at the very top of the food chain in the chiropractic industry, right? Top 1%. Uh-huh. And so if there's 3 traits that I found in those In the 1% of this profession, they are absolutely committed to themselves, right? Growing themselves on a personal level. They're ongoing learners. They're committed to their health. So they're committed to ongoing personal improvement. 2, they take, I mean, they take a massive interest in their marketing and they make sure that, I mean, they may not learn the marketing themselves, you know, but they are taking a devout interest in Hey, what is going to get me to my goals, you know, and figure out how to do that? And then 3, they just put in the work. You know, they are committed. They honor the struggle, right? Because it's work. I mean, there are no 4-hour work weeks, you know, building a practice. And so, and they're committed to it and they're okay with that. So anyways, hey, hope this was helpful. Check out chiropracticconsulting.co. I'm Dr. Vince. Hope you have an awesome day.
