In this short, first‑person video Dr. Vince Leone recounts a pivotal moment early in his solo chiropractic practice when he was on the brink of closing his doors. After graduating in 2007 and spending two years as an associate, he launched an under‑capitalized practice that struggled to attract patients despite his effort and a new family to support. A chance lunch with his business coach led to two critical pieces of advice: specialize in the emerging neuropathy niche and learn direct‑response marketing to stretch a limited advertising budget. Dr. Vince acted on both, immersing himself in neuropathy training and devouring marketing books, which transformed his clinic into a thriving, cash‑based business that eventually reached seven‑figure revenues. He uses this story to warn other chiropractors that many are stuck in similar predicaments, often lacking key skills or conversion processes, and urges them to invest in themselves—whether through his consulting or other resources. He promotes a live webinar (Thursday at 1 PM Pacific) where he will share three “secrets” that helped him scale, focusing on patient qualification, confidence‑building protocols, and magnetic marketing for cash‑based specialties such as decompression, neuropathy, stem‑cell, weight‑loss, and knee pain. The video ends with a call to register at chiropracticconsulting.co.

Hey guys, Dr. Vince here, and in this short video I want to talk about a turning point in my career, and it's the day that my coach saved my career, saved my bacon, man, because I was— I graduated in 2007, I was an associate for 2 years, and so, and then I decided to go out on my own, so undercapitalized and with probably not enough Knowledge base in terms of starting and running a practice, but with a lot of chutzpah, I dove in and immediately struggled and literally almost had to turn off the lights and close the doors within the first 4 months. I mean, it was bad, man. I had my new wife and new baby at home, and it's crazy how they like to eat and they like to have a warm home, and you need money to do that. So So I was, and I had a coach at the time because I figured, well hey, I'm starting a new practice, I should probably invest in a coach. And he was giving a 1-day seminar down in Portland, so it was about 3 hours from me, and so I talked to his assistant and said, hey, can I take the coach to lunch? I really need to speak with him. Sure, no problem, blah blah blah. And so I took him to lunch, he was nice enough to do that, and we both had the salmon, No idea why I remember that, but I said, Doc, I'm struggling here. I feel like I'm in a really competitive space. You know, there's about 11 other doctors in my business park that have been there 10, 15 years and solid patient bases, and I just can't seem to get any new patients. And so he said, you know, you should specialize. You know, he said, there's reaches and niches. I can, I can hear his voice. And, uh, a very good man. I'm not going to say his name, but he's Austrian, if that gives any of you clues. But, um, he said, hey, you should specialize in neuropathy. This seems to be this new niche, and there's a doctor in Arizona that I know of. He's, he's teaching other doctors. You should check it out. And that's what I did, and that really changed everything for me. I was trying to do screenings and trying to do talks and, you know, it was the early days of the internet so I was like building my own website and all this type and I was shooting some videos on YouTube and so I was kind of an early adopter on a lot of this stuff but nothing seemed to be moving the needle and another thing my coach said was, hey, you should learn also direct response marketing. He's like, you know, you don't have a lot of money to throw at marketing companies, so learn it on your own so that you can stretch your dollar, your marketing dollar. And so I learned the neuropathy niche, and I was on the cutting edge. This is 2010, so this is really early on in that particular niche, niche, niche, whatever you want to call it. But I went to Half Price Books and I bought all their books. There's about this many books on their shelf of just marketing stuff, and so I shoved them all in a cart, took them home and studied them, and taught myself direct response marketing. And so between those two things, the learning the neuropathy and learning the direct response marketing, it just—it took off from there, and it changed my career. It saved my career. And the reason why I wanted to shoot this video and I wanted to tell you about this is because there's a lot of doctors out there that are not hitting their goals in practice. There's a lot of doctors out there that are struggling. And they may look like they're doing well on social media, but I've talked to too many of them and it's tough to live on 10 grand a month. I don't care how low your overhead is. So what I would tell you, and this is my advice I'm giving to you, is invest in yourself. I don't— whether it's with me or any other practice management company out there, if you're not hitting your goals and it's been some time, Then you're lacking somewhere, right? You're either lacking in a skill set, you're lacking in some strategies, or, you know, you're just, you know, you haven't done something correctly, right? And it's not always just new patients either, because you can drive a ton of new patients into your clinic, but if you can't enroll them into care, If you don't know that conversion process well, then that's just money wasted, right? So what I would recommend to you is, at this point, is I'm doing a live webinar this Thursday at 1 PM Pacific. I'm going to talk about 3 of the main secrets that I discovered on my path to up to 7 figures in practice. We're also going to talk about something that you can do in the patient processing experience that gives the patient a whole bunch of confidence in terms of what you do in your protocol and allows you to sign up more patients. We're going to talk about how do we qualify the patient properly so that we know that we can help them, right? And a lot of this is really germane to decompression and neuropathy. That's really the doctors that I focus on and work with primarily are those doctors that specialize in these niches, cash-based niches, right? Decompression, neuropathy, stem cell, weight loss, you know, those types of things, knee pain. Those are really, those are the doctors that I can help the most, right? We focus on Attracting, you know, through magnetic marketing, the proper patients for us, enrolling them into care, all that type of stuff. I think this information is probably valuable to any type of chiropractor, but if you're in any of these niches and you're not hitting the goals that you would like to, I think it would be well worth your time to attend. So that's at 1 o'clock on Thursday Pacific time. You can find out more at chiropracticconsulting.co. But I hope this has been valuable to you to some degree, right? Because it can be frustrating, it can be scary to not be doing well in practice, and we don't really want to tell anybody, do we? True. Like I said, I've been there, and I remember, you know, there was a doctor that I went— would meet up for ribs at a place, and he was always doing so well, And I was always struggling and I never, never knew why. And he's the one that turned me on to that particular coach, and that's the coach that changed everything for me. So guys, I'm Dr. Vince. I wish you the best in practice. I hope this has been helpful. And again, highly recommend check out the webinar this Thursday at 1 o'clock Pacific, and you can find more and register at chiropracticconsulting.co. Take care. Thank you.
