In this segment, Dr. Vince Leone reviews recent spinal decompression research, highlighting a University of Southern Florida study on the DRX‑9000 and additional studies from Japan, Korea, and Egypt that used less‑known table brands. He explains that the defining features of contemporary decompression tables are computer‑controlled actuators, sensor feedback, and adjustable angles and traction forces. Based on these technological criteria, he argues that the clinical outcomes observed with the DRX‑9000 can be reasonably extrapolated to other modern, tech‑enabled decompression tables, regardless of the manufacturer.

Some of the newest research, like out of the University of Southern Florida, is on the DRX-9000. Some of the stuff coming out of Japan and Korea and Egypt, they're actually on some tables I've not even— I don't even know who makes some of their tables there because they're not brands I'm— I've seen them in the studies, the pictures of them, but they're not brands that I'm— they're not American-made tables, put it that way. Mm-hmm. And I don't know which company is actually doing them. But here's how I would say that. I would say if your table has actuators, sensors controlled by a computer, you can make adjustments to angles. You can make changes to the amount of pull and stuff. And where you— if the table is giving feedback through sensors to the computer, in other words, it has the latest, most modern technology in it. I think that regardless of, you know, if this study was done on the DRX 9000, I think you can extrapolate that to other decompression tables for the most part, as long as you have a table that has some of that modern technology in it.
