How to Transform Your Life with Presence: Eckhart Tolle's Live Teaching

Eckhart Tolle teaches live on presence as a transformative dimension of consciousness. The session includes guided practices like inner body awareness and breath work, explores the ego and emotional pain, and answers participant questions about awakening.
Hello, friends. Welcome. Welcome everyone. Welcome everyone to this live teaching session with Eckhart Tolle. It's on how presence can transform our lives. This session is presented by Eckhart Teachings and Sounds True. And my name is Tammy Simon. I'm the founder of Sounds True. And it's an absolute delight and honor to be able to host this live teaching session. We'll be exploring presence and its power. And this session occurs as we are opening up registration to an online program with Eckhart called Doorways into Presence. You can learn more about the program at eckhart's website, eckhart tolle.com it's a program that explores 14 different gateways into presence, delivered over the course of seven weeks. Two gateways a week in the experience as a community, practicing, entering and moving through these portals together to give you a sense. The gateways include meditating with a candle, contemplating the question who am I meditating with? The sky, everyday activities like drinking a refreshing cup of apple juice, and more. One of the practices, one of the gateways that Eckhart introduces in Doorways into Presence has us enter what he calls inner body awareness. And Eckhart here in this special teaching session. I was wondering if you could start by sharing with everyone who's joined us here how the inner body is a gateway to presence, what the link is, and then actually take us into the guided experience of attuning to the inner body as a doorway into presence. How does that sound as a way to begin?
Thank you, Tammy. Hello everybody. That sounds like a wonderful idea. Presence, we could say, is the dimension of consciousness. Most humans are only occasionally present for brief moments. And some humans are almost never present at all. And those that are present for brief moments usually don't recognize the significance of that. Their mind interprets it in a different way. For example, as a moment when they felt particularly alive or deeply at peace or full of life energy. But usually they attribute that to some external cause. So presence as a dimension of consciousness, we could call that a higher intelligence that humans can access and recognize within themselves. And that higher intelligence can bring about, can manifest in many different ways in a person's life. For example, as a heightened creativity so that you're able to become more creative in whatever endeavor you're engaged in. You have a creative flow, suddenly happens and flows into your mind, brings new ideas that nobody has had before, can improve the quality of whatever it is that you're doing. Whatever activity you may be engaged in, it improves the way in which you perform that activity. Because when presence Flows into what you do, you do it without ego. The fact that presence has arisen within you means the ego has subsided. When presence diminishes, usually the ego returns. So for many humans, for quite a long period of time, they fluctuate. If you have entered the awakening process, as many of you have, you will fluctuate from being present to being drawn back into mind, identification, identification with thinking, which is the ego. So you access presence as a dimension of consciousness, and in what way it then manifests in your life, in what way it changes your life varies from person to person. You may not even create anything new because it. Presence may not necessarily manifest as a it and ability to become creative. It could just be that it greatly improves the quality of your relationships with other humans or your ability to enjoy life, the present moment deeply. It enables you to have empathy with other human beings and other life forms that before perhaps only happened rarely, because the ego cannot really have true empathy with other humans. Life forms. Empathy, compassion, loving kindness, benevolence that flows out from you towards the world, all life forms, other human beings, all these are manifestations of presence. So it is the ultimately the only absolutely worthwhile thing to realize in your lifetime. I don't call it achieve. I call it realize. Because achieve implies that presence isn't here yet. And you need to work hard, make efforts in order to bring presence into your life. But that's not how it is, because presence is already there within you, waiting to be realized. It is waiting to be realized. So presence is the. It is a realization of presence. It is not. To become present is not an achievement, because that would be an egoic thing. Oh, I. I am present now. I have achieved it. Who has achieved it? No, presence has arisen. The ego has subsided. So it's a realization that presence is already there underneath the incessant stream of thinking that most humans identified with. And underneath it, there is this vast realm of unconditioned consciousness, which we could also call stillness. So to find that, to realize that is the most important thing in your life. It is, as I see it is. The purpose of human existence is to embody the flowering of presence, the arising of presence, which on a collective level is the next stage in the evolution of humanity and is the only thing that can save us from the madness of the human ego, both in its individual and collective aspect, Presence, you cannot understand conceptually what it is. You have to experience it, realize it. So there are doorways into presence, into that realization. And these doorways, they direct your attention away from where it normally is, which is your attention or your consciousness is trapped in the stream of conceptualization and thinking. For Most humans, almost 100% of their consciousness is trapped in that continuous stream of conceptualization, just involuntary, incessant thinking. And so we need to reclaim consciousness from the stream of thinking and then discover what is there beyond the stream of thinking. Not anything that is separate from the stream of thinking, but is related. This vastness of presence is related to the stream of thinking in the same way that the waves of ripples on the surface of the ocean are related to the totality of the ocean. So most humans only know themselves as the waves and ripples on the surface. They are surface phenomena. That is the horizontal dimension of human existence. That's all they know. They know themselves as surface phenomena. But there is a vertical dimension, the intersection of what is expressed in this symbol of the cross. Horizontal dimension, vertical dimension. Presence is the vertical dimension. So we have doorways that enable us to reclaim attention from the stream of thinking. One of these doorways, a very powerful one, is the inner body, Another one that is closely related to the inner bodies. And I often combine the two into one. Another one is awareness of your breathing sounds. Very simple awareness of your breathing. So here, for our practice, I'm going to combine the two into one because they are very closely related. Awareness of your breath, of course, goes back thousands of years. It's a very ancient spiritual practice, very powerful spiritual practice. Why is it so powerful? Because it's a simple way of reclaiming consciousness, withdrawing it from the stream of thinking by placing awareness on the inflow and outflow of your breath, which means, and I'm not, not just talking about it, because as I speak, you can verify it, experience it here. Now, being aware of your breathing begins with a simple fact that you notice that breathing is happening. That's simple enough, mostly. Of course, you wouldn't notice it. It's usually unconscious. But something in you makes it happen. You cannot stop it. Something it you wants to live. And the breathing happens. Now, you suddenly become aware that you're breathing. Some of your attention is moved away from thinking and is now accompanying the inflow of the breath into the body. The attention is linked to the breath now. So you obs, we could say you observe the inflow of the breath into the body, and you observe the outflow. You feel it, you sense it. Observe is a visual thing, and we're just using the term, but you sense it, you feel it, the inflow and the outflow. And while you sense that, if you're really present with your breath, you will notice you're not thinking. You cannot be aware of your breathing and think at the same time. So it's a very simple, wonderful way of taking attention away from thinking. Most of which is useless anyway. I'm not talking about constructive thinking, creative thinking, but all the useless thinking that humans are tortured by. You breathe in. And as you breathe in, you can feel the air going or the energy of it flowing all the way into your abdomen. And as you read, as you breathe in, the abdomen rises slightly. And as the abdomen rises slightly, you can sense an energy field within there. There's an energy that is. That is the beginning of sensing the inner body, the. The animating presence within the body. So your, the. The breath awareness and body awareness can go together. Breath awareness takes you into body awareness and you can continue to, to experience both at the same time as a single experience. So let's continue with that practice. Inhalation into the abdomen. And as you reach the end of the inhalation for a brief moment, two or three seconds, you pause, you hold it there before you breathe out again. At the end of the outbreath, you also pause for two or three seconds. And there's a deep stillness there. In that pause, you breathe in again. Abdomen, you feel the energy that is the inner body there. And breathe out. And a moment of cessation, deep stillness, and then start again. You breathe in, abdomen, hold that, feel the energy and breathe out. And the next time as you breathe in, feel the energy in the abdomen. And now you can feel the energy in the abdomen actually spreading out into the rest of your body. Like this is a place from where the energy spreads out. You can feel the that your legs are alive, your chest is alive, your arms are alive. You can feel the animating presence that gives life to the body. The invisible vast intelligence that sustains every moment, that sustains the incredibly complicated functions of the various organs of your body and coordinates them all. Unbelievably complex thing. There is the body and there's a vast intelligence that is there. It is invisible. It is part of the consciousness that you are of which the thinking mind is only a tiny fragment. And so this vast intelligence, the animating principle that gives life to the body, the, the invisible you and not you become conscious of it, or it becomes conscious of itself when you feel the inner body. But let's continue breathing in abdomen, energy spreading out throughout the body. And breathe out. And now we can shift our attention. This is relatively short practice. We shift our attention Mainly from your breathing to the feeling of the inner body energy, the animating presence within the body. Feel that you're still conscious of your breathing, but at the same time you're conscious of every cell in your body is alive. You can sense in your hands, you can sense there is a very subtle sense of aliveness in your hands, in your feet, in your legs, your arms, your chest. And now slowly, you can feel the. The totality of the inner body as a single field of energy intensely alive. And your attention remains there and you continue to be aware of your breathing, but at the same time you feel this wonderful energy that pervades the entire body. It is not the physical body makes the life of it is the life behind the physical body. Because the physical body is not life. Life is the invisible presence, consciousness itself. And as you feel the inner body, there's little or no thinking and you're very alert. You may even want to close your eyes for a moment in order to feel the energy of the inner body even more. Every cell of the body is alive. This, by the way, is a very healing thing to do. This enormous healing power in that inhabit the body. The body loves to be noticed, to be known. So when you feel that and you continue to be aware of your breathing also, and it may be possible for you to, as your eyes are closed, to perhaps even let go of a physical image you may still have in your mental image, you may still have of your body, so that all that remains in your awareness is no longer the body, but that energy itself that no longer has any form. And now you have reached a level of presence which we could also call awareness, in which you realize that this vastly intelligent energy field is consciousness itself before it becomes a person. And you are that presence. You are that presence. That is your true identity. So the person is a passing phenomenon. And ultimately you are not a person. You are that vast energy that briefly takes on the disguise of a person on the horizontal level of your life. And then you hold that it is so once you connect with that, realize that that is that your essence, it's a wonderful realization. And then you hold your attention there, remain there, and enjoy yourself in a deeper sense of the words enjoy yourself. Enjoy the being of you. The enjoyment of being. The enjoyment that you are of being. I am. This is why in India it's. This realization is called. It is the sat sheet, Ananda. Sat is the being, is consciousness. Ananda is the joy that you feel. That is the conscious being, is joy. Conscious being, realizing that you are I am without adding anything to it. The primordial beingness of life itself. That is a very deep realization that liberates you from the person. When you realize that the person becomes a something you can play with, enjoy for a while. Never take it too seriously. It's like a role you play, but you are not the role. It's just something that unfolds. But you are. You can be rooted in the being of you. That's why in the Old Testament, Moses asked. The story goes, Moses meets God on a mountaintop, and he asks, who are you? God says, I am the. I am. One of the most profound statements in the Bible. Then Moses says, what shall I tell my people when I come down from the mountain? What shall I say? Who spoke to me? What shall I tell them? God says, it's a story. God says, tell them that I am spoke to you. Did Moses understand what he was saying? We don't know. And then we make a jump into Jesus. Gospel of John before Abraham was I am, said Jesus before. It is the timeless dimension of consciousness itself. That is the essence of who you are. It manifests as. On this horizontal dimension, it manifests as a physical body, body. But that's not what it is. It is a disguise. So this is presence, the realization of presence, the most important thing in your life. And even as I speak now, perhaps as you're listening, some of your attention will be on the words. You take in the words, but you can continue to feel the inner energy field of the body even as you listen. And that. That is a very important part. It's not just here. I'm aware of the inner body. And then the rest of my life, I lose myself again in everything. No, you can stay conscious and at the same time perceive and even act and speak, still feel the connectedness with being, connectedness with being. So that frees you from the ego. Because now you no longer need to derive your sense of who or who you are from the. Whatever your mind is telling you about who you are, your memories, your narratives, your stories, which you call my life. That no longer. Yes, you remember the stories, what happened, but they do not give you your sense of identity anymore. Your sense of identity comes from a much deeper place. And so it liberates you from the narrow, troublemaking ego identity. That's true liberation. And then you look at another human deeply, and you can sense that they too are that divine presence, even if they can't, if they may not know it. But if you can sense it in yourself, you can sense it in the other. So then your relationships change, because then you, yes, you still relate to a person, whatever the person is, but not only to a person. You also relate to the transcendent dimension of that person, which you recognize as one with your identity. And that recognition is love, true love, recognition of oneness. So this we just encapsulated the entire spiritual life. That is the essence. That is the essence of all spirituality. And it's simple. But Tommy may have another question for us.
We have received a question, specifically Eckhart, about this gateway of inner body awareness, because you describe it as so enjoyable. And we have some participants in the Doorways Into Presence program who have said, yes, sometimes it's very enjoyable. But sometimes when tuning into the inner body, it can actually feel like rough waters, disturbing, a lot of intensity, anxious feelings like that. And we're wondering how to work with that in this gateway.
Yes, thank you, Tammy. That's a good point. Often people ask that question. So as you direct your attention into the inner body, you may feel more strongly something that was already there in your emotional field, which may not be pleasant, a disturbance. In many cases, this emotion, it is an emotional energy. In many cases, this emotion is anxiety or fear, very common. In other cases, that emotion may also be residual anger. Those two are perhaps the most common forms of disturbance that people feel. And many humans continuously in the background have an emotion that is either anxiety, that is the most common, or anger, which is also fairly common. There's also possible there's a deep sadness that also sometimes occur. A deep gloomy energy, a dark, gloomy energy. So whatever it is, it is emotion that lives in you and perhaps has lived in you for a long time. Sometimes it's caused by something that happened only yesterday. And the emotion still lingers in you. But in many cases, it has almost always been there. Sometimes very much in the background, at other times a bit more in the foreground. And suddenly you feel it more strongly because your attention goes there. And there it is, let's say it's anxiety. It lives here somewhere. And you feel that disturbance as you go within. Now, the important thing is you've taken attention away from thinking by directing your attention into the inner body. And that is a good thing, because then the emotion that you feel as you direct your attention, the focus of your attention on the emotion, the emotion then cannot rise up into your mind and use your thinking, which is what it often does. So when you feel anxiety, the anxiety can cause you to think anxious thoughts. And every anxious thought adds more energy to the anxiety. That you feel. And some humans live like that. Some humans continuously live like that. They worry, they're anxious, they're fearful. And the emotion and the thought process are linked unconsciously. Thought feeds the emotion. The emotion generates even more thought. It's a vicious circle. But if you direct your attention to the emotion itself, then the emotion cannot use your mind anymore. You just observe it because you are the. There's an awareness there now. The awareness that this is a disturbance within you. And what you do is, first of all, you recognize it for what it is. It's an energy field that is there. You can feel it. Now, that is a big difference from what normally happens in the unconscious state of humans. Because in the unconscious state, the emotion becomes you. You become a fearful person, an anxious person. It takes you over, and when you direct your attention to it, then it is still there, but it can no longer pretend to be you. In other words, by placing your attention on the emotion. Emotion cannot become a person. It remains as an emotion. It's recognized as an emotion, and you are aware of it. And then first thing you do is you accept that it is there because it's the present moment. And whatever arises in the present moment, you better accept it, because it already is. It is. So you can't argue with what is. So you better accept that this is there, you acknowledge is a disturbance within you, an energy that does not feel pleasant. But yes, it may even be quite acute. Maybe, perhaps it's intense fear. Then use your breath as described before. Breathe into the abdomen and then feel that the fear. You decide that as much as possible, you would like to release this fear and allow it to flow out with your breath. And so you breathe out the fear as much as possible, or the anger, because you decide that you don't really want it or need it. The ego likes to identify with it. The ego loves those things. It says, I want. No, I want it, but it does want it. So you breathe it out. And then some of it may still be there when you've done it a few times, that's fine. And then you feel the rest of your body where this energy is not present. Not the fearful, the anxious or angry energy may not be in your hands or your arms or your legs. Your hands, arms, legs are fine. They are perhaps not affected by this thing that you feel in your chest or belly area. So you feel the rest of your body is alive. You feel the energy in your hands and your legs and your arms and your breathing. And there's still some of that emotion is still there. But there's been a very significant shift from being the emotion to being the presence behind the emotion, to being the space in which the emotion exists. So the shift of identity. You are the space for the emotion. You are the awareness behind the emotion. As you know this I call this old emotion that lives in a human being some form many years. I call it the pain body. The pain body is accumulated old emotion. And that pain body, as you become present, gradually it becomes released. Sometimes in exceptional cases, it can suddenly be released in an instant. But in most cases it takes a while. It can take you experience it again and again. Sometimes it takes you over again. But more and more you become aware of it and don't mistake it for who or what you are. You are not the emotion. The emotion lives in you. You are the awareness behind the emotion. You are the presence that witnesses the emotion. So one could say almost that here's the unpleasant emotion and then there's the space around it. And that space around it, so to speak, which starts with the inner space of your body. That space around it becomes bigger. And then you. You notice that who you essentially are is the space around the emotion, but not the emotion itself. One could say that the emotion is like a block of ice frozen and energy. And then gradually it dissolves as you bring the light of consciousness. That one can use that analogy, painful emotions. The pain body cannot survive for too long in the light of consciousness. So just being aware of it is important. Or that it may not feel pleasant at first, but it's worth it won't kill you. It's not that bad, but it may kill you. If you're so unconscious that you totally identify with it. But recognizing won't kill you. You can have a little bit of unpleasantness that you. You can have for a child. It's more difficult if a child experiences very. Because of environment, whatever happening in the child's life. If a child experiences painful emotion, the only thing that the child often can do is cut themselves off from it because it's too. They cannot tolerate the pain. So they have to push it out of awareness. That's the only thing a child can often do. And then so it's pushed out of awareness because the child would not be able to live with it. Then as you become an adult, you can tolerate it. But many adults are still so trapped in the child pattern of not wanting, not thinking. It is so threatening. I cannot. I cannot allow myself to feel it. But if you do allow yourself to feel it, that is the beginning of the transmutation. Transmutation is the correct word, transmutation, because that painful emotion can become transmuted. It's trapped consciousness on a lower vibrational frequency, so it can be transmuted into a higher frequency. Then it becomes freed, it becomes liberated. So it's sometimes the case that people have a lot of negative emotion, in other words, a heavy pain body. Those people often are much more motivated to awaken because they can't stand the pain anymore, and they become more motivated to become present. And then all that trapped emotion, which is low vibrational frequency consciousness at a low vibrational frequency, is suddenly freed and becomes transmuted into the higher frequency of presence. And that is the, perhaps a deeper meaning behind the old idea from medieval times and beyond of the transmutation of the alchemy, the transmutation of base metal into gold. That was the external interpretation of it. Transforming base metal into a precious substance of gold. So, so there's. The alchemists worked with that. There were books written about alchemy, but the, the, the. They are all really talking about an inner transformation, the transformation of human consciousness, the transformation of pain into presence, of suffering into consciousness, the transformation of the alchemy, the alchemical transmutation of suffering into consciousness. And that is the ultimate purpose of human suffering. Yes, human suffering can end challenges. No, suffering can end, but it has a purpose. Until it brings about this alchemical transmutation, then you rise above suffering. You will still face challenges in life, but these challenges will not be transformed into suffering. Amazing, amazing process. So eventually you will be thankful for your suffering and for the emotional pain that you have had. Because. Because it was an essential part of your awakening.
Eckhart, I just have one final question for you. You mentioned towards the beginning of this live teaching that many of us in the process of awakening experience a fluctuation between being identified with our thinking mind and our emotions and presence. There's this fluctuation, and I'd love to hear more about your guidance on how we can make a lasting shift so that living with presence becomes our new way of living each day.
Yes, the important thing is present moment awareness, because that's all there is. Sometimes people wonder, will I be able to sustain presence? What do I. How can I sustain presence? Better forget about that. The only vital question is, am I present now or am I lost in my mind? That's a vital question. You can only be present now. So the point of power is in the present moment. Now, how can I be present in the rest of my life? It always comes back to the present moment. In this awakening process. Many times, probably you will lose yourself again in your mind. You lose yourself in the. In this awakening process. Many times, probably you will lose yourself again in your mind. You lose yourself in the horizontal dimension of life. You lose awareness of the vertical dimension, the being of you. You lose yourself in the doing, unaware of being. And when you lose yourself in doing, which includes the primordial doing, is thinking. Doing the thinking, and then all the outer doing and all the things continues to demand your attention. They're all mental phenomena anyway, so that you lose yourself in doing, you lose yourself in your mind, you lose yourself on the horizontal dimension, and then inevitably, some form of suffering very quickly. When you lose yourself on the horizontal dimension very quickly, some form of suffering will come into your life. Usually it's anxiety, fear, anger, stress, impatience, regret, feelings of envy, of countless negative fears. All kinds of things can come in. And so we could call it suffering. We can call it. The most generic term would be unhappiness in one form or another arises. And that can be. You can learn to recognize this when it arises. We could call it a dysfunctional mental emotional state. You recognize it for what it is and you say, oops, I must have lost the present moment. You get stressed about something, you get upset about something. Oh, I must have lost the present moment. You can use it as an alarm clock that tells you, wake up, stay awake. You can return your. The moment you realize that you lost yourself, you have a choice. You can continue to go back into the horizontal dimension, totally trapped in the horizontal dimension, or you can step out of it and enter the vertical for a moment, take a conscious breath, feel the inner body. Don't believe your mind when your mind tells you, no, I don't have time for this. You do have time for this, because it doesn't take much time to take a conscious breath or feel the inner body by taking conscious breath. Let's say something upsets you in daily life, irritates you, upsets you, and you can feel thoughts associated with your. By the way, you. It's more likely you're not upset by the situation. You're upset by the thoughts that you have about the situation. The situation is as it is. Every situation is as it is. The upset is caused how your mind interprets the situation. A negative narrative. This is awful. I can't stand this anymore. Why can't they do this? He shouldn't have done that. He should have done it. All kinds of narratives. So you realize you're that's losing yourself in the unconscious thought processes. So you gradually learn to return to the present moment again and again. You lose yourself. The, the moment you notice it, you lost yourself. Some. Some presence has returned. Because if there were no presence at all, you would not even know that you are lost in your mind. You would be so lost that you would know that you are lost. And if you don't know you're lost in your mind, you're truly lost. It's the same way, let's say a person who is mentally ill, if they know that they're mentally ill, there's some chance of recovery. But if you are truly mentally ill, you don't know that you're mentally ill. You're so taken over by the mental illness that you're totally lost in it. But when you are unconscious in a normal sense, that is also this normal being unconsciously completely identified with your thinking mind. Now, you may not be. You're not mentally ill in the conventional sense of the word, but the way I see it, the normal state of human unconsciousness is a state of mental illness. So normal, the normal state of human unconsciousness, it's not entirely mentally ill, but it has a strong element, a strong pathological element to it. If that were not the case, humans would not create this havoc that they create on the planet and have done for a long time. So there is a strong element of something deeply dysfunctional in the human mind, also wonderful things, but always marked by something very deeply dysfunctional. And that is the condition that all the ancient traditions have recognized. They called it unconsciousness or delusion, the state of being spiritually asleep, the state of original sin, which really means it's an original dysfunction that everybody inherits. Christianity got original sin, the state of suffering that the Buddha says is normal, that every human, they can't get out of it unless they awaken. Suffering is normal unless you awaken. If you don't awaken. Buddha says wherever you go, whatever you do, whatever condition you encounter, sooner or later, and usually sooner, you will encounter suffering no matter where you go or what you do. It's very, very true. Unless something changes within you, you awaken. So they all point to some fundamental dysfunction that humans are born with. And this is ultimately. This looks like a very negative thing, but ultimately it is this fundamental dysfunction that will provide the. Brings about the suffering, and the suffering brings about the desire to awaken. The. That is the. That the motivating factor behind wanting and needing to awaken out of that unconsciousness, that motivating factor is provided by suffering. So suffering is both good and bad. Amazing. Quite amazing. So presence, then you. You need to find a moment of presence as the moment you remember that you are lost. You can choose to be present, if only, if only take a moment of presence. Even in a complicated situation that you're dealing with, take a moment of presence, breathe in, feel the inner body, become familiar with the feeling of the inner body. Become familiar so that you can easily quickly go there and direct your attention away from thinking into drop down into inner body field. The being of. And if it's only in terms of temporal time, maybe it's only a minute. And even a minute, it makes a lot of difference here. If you can find 10, 20 times a day, one minute of presence make will make an enormous difference in your life. And quite soon a minute will become a bit longer. And then gradually it's no longer your. You no longer need to interrupt your activities to be present. After a while, you develop the ability to sense presence in the background of your life, even while you're engaged into dealing with things in the foreground. And that is reconciling the horizontal and vertical dimension in your life. That is, the cross at the present moment is the intersection of the horizontal and vertical. So you deal with the horizontal without losing your rootedness in the vertical. And that is the mastery of life, and that is the fulfillment of the purpose of your incarnation here. So it doesn't matter externally what the circumstances of your life are, because in any circumstances you can, you might be imprisoned. Any circumstances you can find this, find the intersection between vertical and the horizontal so that you become a human who is able to deal with the things on this world, in this world, without losing him or herself in this world. You're rooted in the transcendent. That concludes our session for today.
Eckhart, thank you so much. And thank you to everyone for being with us. How Presence can transform our lives. Again, this session is occurring as we are opening the registration for a program that's called Doorways in Presence. And just to share personally for one moment, we filmed this program over the course of several days. And at the end I had the feeling that the way that these 14 gateways were professionally filmed and delivered with so much clarity from Eckhart, the instruction and the guided experience, experience where the viewer does it right along with Eckhart, that this was historic actually, and was tremendous medicine for the culture, for all of us in the society. And you know, I've recorded so many different programs, but there's a couple handfuls where I've had this moment of kind of chills in the back of my body of knowing the historic nature of and the power of the program. And that's really what I felt with Doorways into presence. Again, it's 14 different gateways that Eckhart takes us through. It's delivered over seven weeks. There are live community sessions and an online interactive practice guideline workbook. Additionally, people who participate in the program will receive a two month membership in Eckhart Tolle now, which offers over 400 hours of Eckhart's teachings. So again, you can learn more at eckhart tolle.com here in the present moment. Thank you. Thank you for being with us. Thank you, friends.
