Eckhart Tolle recommends a 1-2 minute pause every 15-20 minutes for people working at screens. Look out a window, watch a plant, or focus on your breath and inner body. Even brief breaks restore clarity and presence.

Many people these days interact with computer screens as part of their job, so it's important to periodically, as much as possible, have brief moments when you withdraw your attention from the interaction with your screen so that every 15 minutes or so, Or every 20 minutes you can have 1 or 2 minutes of spacious presence. Look at the sky through the window and feel yourself breathing. There's nobody who is so busy that they cannot take 1 or 2 minutes and look at the sky and feel themselves breathing. And then you go back to the screen. Or put a potted plant next to your screen and look at that periodically and sense its presence. Or just feel your body, your inner body. You all know what that is. Feel the aliveness that is in every cell of the body.
