Kim Eng: What Is The Unmanifested Yin And Yang?

This is a YouTube video titled "Kim Eng: What Is The Unmanifested Yin And Yang?" featuring a conversation between Kim Eng and Eckhart Tolle recorded in December 2015. The discussion explores spiritual concepts such as the divine feminine and masculine energies, the nature of the Source beyond duality, and the manifestation of Yin and Yang in form and formlessness.
Hello. It's the first time that I stand in front of so many people, so I'm a bit nervous. I guess I represent one of those, I suppose, many women who hold trauma from their childhood and have a pain body and have experienced how beautiful the connection with source can be and how healing it it can be. And so at the moment I am going to. Well, I've been contemplating a lot on the different energies that we hold. So two of them, so the divine feminine and the divine masculine. And also how much separation it really causes in this world and how much conditioning there is on what is feminine and what is masculine. And so Eckhart. And also you talk about the one consciousness, the oneness, the one universal energy that we draw from. And yet still we also talk about Yin and Yang. And so I am just a little bit confused about. So I am a woman also, the label says, and in my form. And so I'm asking myself, when I draw from Source, is it that I draw from the Yin as a woman or is it that I draw from Yin and Yang, is there no difference? Is it just a difference in the form, how I express, express it? So I'm really kind of like fascinated by this question of what is the unconditioned Yin and what is the unconditioned Yang?
The Source is neither Yin or Yang. Your being is neither female or male. The Source, you can say is. And no thingness, it's nothing, yet it's potential of everything. So the Yin and the Yang is the manifestation of form. So form is dual, the non dual, the unmanifested is formless, absolutely formless, yet manifests itself as duality, as form. So when we draw from the Source, we don't draw a Yin and we don't draw a Yang. We draw from the vastness of the Tao that cannot be named, cannot be described, but yet we use pointers and we have these words, these limited words that we can point to this source and point to who we are, that is beyond the form. And I may use the words like Yin, all the Yin qualities, in order to be able to access stillness, so that the spiritual words to use are like Yin qualities. So if you can imagine, so we have Yin, Yin is the female, which is always. And you can imagine the mountains all around. And we have a mountain and you have a valley. And the feminine represents that valley, which is that not the form here, but just the space here. And the Yang, the masculine, represents that which exists. So we need, it's almost like we need this duality in Order to be able to see ourselves. So in other words, and I've said this before, if the whole world were the color green, we wouldn't know what green was. We just wouldn't know it. But we have these differences, the opposites. And everything in this manifested world is opposite. We have male trees, we have female trees, although I can't tell the difference. But there are, you know, so it's all opposite. We just wouldn't know it. We wouldn't know this flower from a different flower. We wouldn't know you from me if we just all looked the same, if we were all green. So the source that we draw, you go beyond any concepts, any words. Because really there are no words to truly describe the unmanifested. The formless dimension of the source of stillness. But yet all this describes it all too, at the same time. And the beauty behind that. So the beauty is that the stillness coming through that form, the energy which is the purest. You can say it's still form. Energy is still form. So our life energy is still form. But it's the purest life form arising from the source of emptiness. No thingness, sometimes it's called. And that's where we go to. We go to that source of no words, no description, no form. Yet it's here, within, here, outside. It's neither in or out. But we sense it. Without our forms, we probably would not even be able to sense it. Because we are it. But we get a chance, an opportunity to sense with our human bodies not only here, but inside that space, inside us, senses the space, the bigger space.
Thank you.
