This is a YouTube video titled "Skim Milk or Cream? with Eckhart Tolle" containing a reflective talk or monologue by Eckhart Tolle, recorded in 2025. The content involves Eckhart Tolle sharing a metaphor about consciousness and presence experienced in nature, describing perceptions as "skimmed milk" and the deeper essence as "cream."
It came to me years ago when I was often going into deep states of presence out in nature. And you remained a certain period of time. But it's nothing to do with time anymore. And then you open your eyes. When I open my eyes, yes. You're still surrounded by beautiful nature. But I had the feeling what came to me was everything I was perceiving. It's a weird analogy. Everything I was perceiving was skimmed milk. But deep within me there was the cream, undiluted. And then the rest is a diluted consciousness.
