This question requires only a brief answer, but it may be helpful. I would like to know if the thought watching meditation Vipassana would be useful in increasing my presence and diminishing my identification with the ego. If so, could you or Kim provide an example? Meditation? I won't provide an example. Meditating B. Kimball wants to do it. At some point of Vipassana, it would take quite a while. Vipassana is a Buddhist originally associated with Buddhism, but there's nothing particularly Buddhist about it. It's directing your attention into the body basically in a very structured way and it's a good meditation. It's basically inner body awareness. And for some people it's an excellent meditation. It's inner body awareness in a much more structured way than I do it. When I point out the possibility of having your attention inside the body, it definitely takes your attention away from thinking and so you connect with being. Vipassana retreats tend to be boot camps for meditation where you spend many, many hours each day sitting in meditation and it can be quite an ordeal. But that could be helpful too, because either you can't stand it anymore and run away or you surrender completely. It's not as pleasant initially as our retreat, but it can take you deep. It can take you deep. It's not for everybody. It's fine. Not one way is for everybody. And it may well be, as the Vipassana teachers claim, that that was one of the original meditations taught by the Buddha. I wouldn't be surprised if that was including also breast meditation. I would say that that was also. They are related. That is also original meditation. And breast meditation may even precede the Buddha. Nobody really knows, I believe, unless there's some extremely knowledgeable expert here in this I know. So that meditation is called vipassana Vipassana.
