Ep.25 The Four Levels of Pain and the Spiritual Meaning of Loss

A monologue by Elay Amitay Halevi (podcast episode 25) exploring a spiritual Kabbalistic interpretation of pain and loss, framed around the author's experience losing his home in recent Los Angeles fires. The speaker contrasts the practical steps after loss (insurance, rebuilding) with an inner spiritual process: choosing to feel pain, maintaining certainty that 'nothing is lost' (energy persists), and using free will to transform consciousness so physical reality can realign.

Foreign and welcome to episode 25 of our podcast. This will actually be a part two of episode 24 where I started to go through the spiritual explanation of pain. The four levels of pain, why death occurs. Briefly, I started to talk about the purpose, spiritual purpose, of natural disasters, either on a city, state, country or continent level, and why they happen in this world. What does it mean on a soul level. And then I started to share my own process of going through the devastation. The fires here in Los Angeles recently, having my house also being consumed by the fires. So I left off speaking about the initial 24 hour process, spiritually, of what we should all be going through when we're going through some form of loss, which is to feel the loss. Choosing to feel pain versus when pain is choosing you is a very powerful spiritual action that activates the godliness of our soul. It actually mimics the vibration of becoming like the Creator, because now you are the cause and not the effect. Pain has an intelligence. There's a reason why pain is sent into our world. We learned the in our last podcast that pain is sent to cleanse us of negative forces, negative energy, limited belief systems, limited consciousness. And this is why often after pain, we do feel some form of cleansing and miracles do come, blessings do come, an elevation of our soul and destiny is experienced after pain. But it is important that when we're going through any kind of pain that we're accepting it and we're choosing to feel it. Because the first reactive urge we all have is to not feel pain. It's to run away from pain and experience pleasure. This is the reactive robotic nature of the body, consciousness and what we came into this world to transform. So in my process, the first day or two was all about choosing how to feel it. Simultaneous to that, I did start the practical, logical process of calling the insurance company, talking to adjusters, all the things that we need to do to move our life forward. And this is also very important because when we are going through a process in life, there's a spiritual process you're going through and then there's the practical. What you need to make sure of is that you can do both simultaneously. We're not saying don't go fix your problem. It is not reactive to not work on the problem. What we're saying is whatever you are going to do to fix a problem, whatever you are going to do to confront the situation, you, you can still do while in parallel doing it with certainty, doing it with acceptance, doing it with not avoiding the pain. And throughout the process of whatever you do while you're trying to fix a problem, in this case, for the tens of thousands of people who literally lost their lives, they lost their belongings, or they know someone who did. It's about going through the process of saying, I have certainty that everything that has happened is for the good, even though I don't understand it. And to keep your consciousness on this vibration while you simultaneously go through life, go buy your clothes again, look for a new place, and try to solve the problem at hand. There's no reason for us to try to solve problems from a place of anger, from a place of feeling lack, from a place of worry and anxiety. And in fact, the Kabbalists are very clear about it. If you want to solve your problems quickly, you cannot do them on your own. You can only do them by connecting your consciousness and your vibration to this realm of the light of the Creator, through certainty and feeling whole. So can you hold both these polar opposite realities at the same time? Can you go and quote, unquote, fix the problem while also feeling that there is no problem to fix, while also feeling you are completely whole and nothing needs to be fixed? If you hold these two energies simultaneous, you will be connected to this realm of miracles. And so, as the days go on, what I am consistently feeling, and I know so many people are, is you start to have questions. There are doubts that emerge because there's uncomfortable decisions that everyone needs to make. At the end of the day, you are not required to solve every problem. In fact, you are not required to solve any problem. This is the role of the light, of the Creator. All we are required to do, and the only free will we have in this world is to transform ourselves, transform our consciousness, and to create the vessel for the light to come in. This is one of the simplest lessons that we learn in Kabbalah, and often one of the hardest to grasp. That takes decades. It is that simple, that all you need to do is act like God, to act like the Creator, and to emulate all the qualities of the Creator. This then creates the vessel by which the energy of miracles come in, the energy of the Creator comes in, and then a new destiny is formed whereby solutions are given to you, abundance is given to you. One of the biggest tests that we face when we lose something is to know that you lost nothing at all. What is it that burned down for me? What is it wood? Is it cement that now has disappeared? Is it a structure? What is it what actually disappeared? The energy of the home or the energy of the money, or the energy of Your belongings or the energy of the photos? Because photos are energy, right? Why do you look at a certain photo? You feel something from 20 years ago. Imagine you're looking at a photo from 20 years ago, something that meant a lot to you. And is it the photo that you care about? Is it the paper that you care about? There's energy there. The energy has not burned up. The energy has not disappeared. What the negative side tries to get us to do is to believe that the energy has also disappeared. And by the way, you have free will. If you think the energy disappeared, then you now shift to the reality where the energy has also disappeared. A good example of this would be if someone stole money from you. Let's say somebody stole $10,000 from you. Or you lost $10,000. What have you lost? Somebody took some paper from you. Somebody took some. You know, even today, it's not that they took the actual dollar bill. They might have committed wire fraud. So they took it from your bank account. They, they, they just rearranged some digits, and now you don't have money in your bank account. Were they able to steal the light of your soul that was behind that money, that generated that money? Were they able to steal, or was the fire able to steal the light of your soul that you generated for 5, 10, 20 years that allowed you to create this physical home? Of course not. This is yours. You earn this light. And if you maintain the certainty that nothing has been lost, well, then you shift to a reality where the physical world must now match your consciousness, which literally means the new home, the new abundance, the new relationship must appear even in the physical world to match the energy that you have already created. But there is this space where you have the energy, but you don't have the physical part of it. What is this space? This is called free will. And this is the purpose of why you came to this world. There's a space, there's time injected in this process to see how you will react. Are you going to feel like a victim? Are you going to feel like the effect? Are you going to blame? Are you going to complain? Are you going to create division and have anger? Because why are we angry? Why do we create problems in our lives? Because we feel we're missing something. I don't have it anymore, so I'm going to create a problem. But if you believe that nothing was lost, no one can take the energy from you. Like that famous scene in Shawshank Redemption where he says he can take everything from you, but they can't take your Consciousness, this is the same concept. Nothing can take away from you the energy of your soul that you have created. However, if you get sad, if you get angry, if you get upset and you hold on to that consciousness, well, essentially what you're doing is you are now handing away the energy as well that you created in your lifetime. And yes, that's when we actually solidify loss. That's when we solidify the loss of the home or the loss of the relationship or the loss of the money. And then another spiritual process must occur. Where we go through pain to overcome that limited consciousness. And then the energy comes back. Because energy isn't truly ever lost. But if you choose to stay reactive and angry and sad, then that energy temporarily must be taken away. Because it is too dangerous for the Creator to give such powerful, holy energy to a situation that is very dark and negative. So it is temporarily taken away until you are ready to receive it again. Kind of like if a parent is not fit to take care of their child for whatever reason, maybe from drug abuse. But once the parent fully goes through a program to remove whatever addiction is, to overcome the addiction, to get to a place where they can take care of the child. So the child is given back to the parent. It's one way of looking at it. So all of this energy we've created, if we decide to stay in an angry, dark, or negative state, then the energy is taken away temporarily as well. So anyone around this world, if you're listening, obviously I'm not just talking to people here in Los Angeles. We all go through loss of some kind in this physical world. What I have Learned in the 25 years I've been on this path. And I'll tell you, I forget it. I forget everything I've learned in the moment pain occurs. Because I also need to forget it. Because I need to have free will. If I remembered every single piece of text, every conversation with my teachers and mentors for 25 years, every time I went through a test, I would pass every test. It wouldn't even be a test. I would just immediately know that it was a test, an illusion. I don't need to react to this. The miracles are coming. There's no growth there. So we all reach the state of amnesia, the moment pain occurs. And that is also by design. And when this amnesia occurs and you forget everything and all you want to do is react and be sad or be a victim or be angry or upset other people or take from other people, just know. You pause and you know that you have not lost anything. The physical seems like it's disappeared, but the energy is still there. And as long as you maintain certainty beyond your logical mind, the energy will then force the physical reality to catch up with it. You will collapse time and you will enter that new destiny where physically, in this world, you have all the blessings as well.
